Description
I went the Chiptune route with some string VIs. My goal was to make it feel like an adventurous battle.

This is indeed a strong battle theme! The ascending tempo is like the start of climbing a mountain, and I hear the sense of peril. Some of the high pitches toward the end are shrill, and I think additional presence of percussion would enhance this even more.

I really loved the sounds you used - I agree with others about tempo and creating a sense of urgency for battle music - but I definitely felt it was dramatic and has an adventurous feel - it almost feels like it could be really fantastic music for a title screen - especially from the arpeggiated bit toward the beginning. Either way, I loved the vibe and I really enjoyed listening to it!

It definitely has an epic feel to it but is perhaps a bit slow for battle music. It could definitely use more of a rhythmic element to it. Some kind of urgent pulse and drives the piece forward. Harmonically though, it's excellent!

Love the use of synth and strings! The transition around 0:43 is awesome. Going off of a cuple other comments, I think having some more percussion in the middle and and raising the tempo a bit would be really great in the piece. Overall though really great!

This is great! The intro is very nice, and I think the build up and overall arc of the piece is really satisfying. I do this adding the drums in to the last 20 seconds or so would help add to the drive, but I think there are other ways around it. I think overall just having a driving pulse and maybe upping the tempo of the battle section would really help spice it up. This was lovely to listen to!

The chords are really beautiful in this, it's also cool how you labeled the chords in the video. The first 14 seconds would make a good loopable intro when talking to the opponent before the battle starts, as in making in a separate track in a hypothetical ost. My main issue is as a battle theme, the tempo is just not upbeat enough, I think somewhere in the 160-180bpm range would be more suitable for this track. The omission of drums is interesting, but I understand it because this is taking after a gameboy soundtrack that didn't really use drums. While they would help create an atmosphere of high energy, I think the track wouldn't need them if the bass had a faster rhythm, like pulsing every eighth note like in Red/Blue/Yellow battle themes rather than just holding out the note. This is really good, keep it up!

Love it! I particularly like the bassy cello towards the end of the song, though it could do with more percussion, especially since it's supposed to be a battle theme.

Lovely! A bit disappointed from the fact the build-up had percussion that I did not hear stay or progress afterwards - completely disappearing instead. Maybe a simple compressed drumkit to accompany the tune ought to do it. Once more, lovely! Amazing lead!

Sounds very nice!
