Which Theme did you choose?
Macabre Carnival
How did you implement your chosen Theme in your game?
We wanted to create a homage to the first fixed-camera survival horror game. We focused on the ambiance, level design, and atmosphere of the game.
It was a huge challenge to do this in one month while trying to have enough content and quality, and we are very proud of the result.
Did you implement any of your Theme's Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
No, but the bonus is that we finished it on time!
Does your game contain AI-generated assets?
No

This is an excellent game! I loved the nostalgic aesthetic and the player is great. Camera changes were a bit disorienting at times, although I also felt they were a great addition overall, really made me appreciate the scenarios. The first chase gave me true chills, which is more than I can say about many recent major horror games I've played.
Signals for pushable crates worked very well and the puzzles were fun to solve. I found a bug preventing me from moving when I got the green key; I just could not move back and had to close the game. Still worth replaying, though!
i absolutely love this type of camera work and the art style was beautiful! and boy was mister clown scary!! also loved the level designs and it made the progression of the story fun! sending this to some horror lovers to play!
great work!
Thank you very much, that's really nice of you, and thank you for sharing this with others !
As a fan of RES series, I enjoyed this one a lot.
By the way, just in case it is a bug: is there a fail state in the game? If that's the case, mine didn't happen. If that's not the case, then it's okay. Don't want to say more to avoid spoiling it to others,
Great work!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I had a last-minute problem and unfortunately I wasn't able to fix it :/
Fixed camera scares me. I’m not use to the controls. However, it’s an awesome game.
It has awesome chase scene (especially the box push one). Nice chase scene theme choices, fits the carnival vibe and it’s eerie. Sick monster design. For 20-30 minutes of gameplay, i understand the lore but, just the surface only.
However, sometimes the camera won’t change perspective. That one Confusing puzzle (YES, Especially that ONE) hard to figure it out.
Overall, i experienced a good scares out of this game and I enjoyed it. Couple tweaks here and there, i think the game will turns out fine. I hope you guys have the greatest future in game development.
Thank you for playing our game and leaving a comment! It's great you enjoyed it for the most part. It is disappointing that we ran out of time to tweak certain areas, especially the ones you have pointed out, but that's the nature of a game jam I suppose. But I'm glad the different components came together to give an experience you liked overall :)
Since early childhood I haven’t played games with fixed cameras because they used to scare the hell out of me. I thought it wouldn’t affect me now, but it did. The chases, the stalker constantly watching me… it genuinely made me anxious. And honestly, that was awesome. The visuals are beautiful, and I really loved the environment.
I didn’t finish the game because my controls got locked after I interacted twice with the machine - I had already hit it with the hammer but didn’t manage to grab the key. But I’m definitely going to come back and finish it later. I just wanted to share my feelings while they’re still fresh.
Thank you for this game. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for playing the game. I'm glad you enjoyed it and that the atmosphere was as affective as we had hoped. Sorry you couldn't finish. Sadly we ran out of time before being able to iron out some of the kinks. But I'm glad you enjoyed what you were able to play
Thank you very much for your comment, we really appreciate it. It's true that if you interact too quickly with certain elements, it can sometimes cause bugs, sorry about that
this was so lovely to read. i’m really glad that we were able to truly deliver you an experience!
Good game with excelent atmoshpere and visuals, i like the use of the tank controller, unfortunately i wasnt able to pass the riddle so i can´t complete the game.
I guess it´s skill issue but i got stuck on a chase where you have to push the box, the camera and the monster obstruct my vision so i did´nt know where to go (On that section the monster attack me and nothing happened)
Hello, sorry you're stuck here. Actually, you need to turn left at the end of the corridor. You'll arrive in a small room where you can push the crate again to move forward
