Stuff you didn't do during the jam
I actually got off to a late start, as I dropped my first project and started this one on the 14th. CC assets are listed on the credits screen.

lovely. very pretty as well. just very, Aesthetic
i especially like that the best ending is the one where you're nice to a fox
i like that it tells different stories and theres a whole bunch of them if you want to keep reading more tf stories. i only picked like 2 of the paths but im sure theres like 10 based on the thumbnail. i got the stone horse one on of them but i feel like the character was bad in that since they might have killed a different cursed person by taking that stone out. maybe not though i couldn't tell from the writing.
Thanks for checking it out! I think there's eight-ish, I lost track myself. 🤷 I will say that the previous statue was just a statue, not a curse victim, though that's admittedly not clear from the writing itself.
I like the presentation for this. It made the whole CYOA aspect of this extremely engaging.
omg this is the funniest game in the entire jam I cannot stop laughing (call the Mages' Guild, help)
(Also as someone who has worked professionally on actual non-joke RPGs with status effects that explain what they do in tooltips, seeing these status effects that have no effect on the "gameplay" and have completely silly mostly narrative tooltips was extremely cathartic.)
This is such a clever concept, and I love how many different weird paths there are to go down. Great music, too. The UX is so weird and disjoint but I think it works well for this, especially with some of the little meta-jokes that show up in places.
Oh I loved this. The framing and the art and the implied world behind all of this. I don’t know if I visited every path with total rigour, but I definitely replayed this a bunch of times. I liked the touch of the status effects too.
I love the flashback framing, I don't think I ever saw anything like it in an adventure game before! Fun character transformation sprites, I really like how sometimes the "corrections" you add to the flashback can totally change who you are. Great interface design as always, I enjoyed how well the audio and other assets fit the overall theme. I also like how short but totally different the routes are, if you want to expand the game I think continuing in the direction of breadth would be a great decision (but at that point you may need to start marking choices as having been picked before, I already lost track even with the current set of branches). I know you tried to scale things back for this jam, but I think you've actually hit upon something that has a whole of potential, and already does a fine job of making good use of it!
I love that each of the endings very nicely explores how they would continue to play out in the future. Also the way they expand on the world and are connected to each other.
Feeling really normal about the armor, might have to explore that.
Fun little 'see what happens' type adventure game. Though for games like this it's pretty important to have quick text skipping with how much you'll be repeating the intro. X4 still feels a little slow IMO. Especially with the buttons having a spawning animation once the text is finished.
Had fun exploring all the little paths, art was charming, and enjoyed seeing the various endings.
wowwww. another kaye banger. Really enjoy the variety this time around!
Loved this game! I love bad endings and the tropes people use in this genre, so it's fun seeing this take on it, you totally nailed it. The status bar is a nice touch and adds a lot, and a ton of polish clearly went into the UI and user experience.
I do wish there were more bad ends that didn't involve around cursed equipment - all the situations were pretty different in interesting ways, but the premise did seem to hint at more. I also wish the text speed was a bit faster, or had a setting to adjust. I also liked the vignette with the kobold lol - of course in the kink magic universe there would be cursed gear grifters. It's just a shame that people have to rely on a basically useless mages' guild for help.
Really cool concept and fun adventure.
I am still struggling to know if the buffs helped in my tasks, but I didn't find a way to deviate from the choices.
But honestly it was fun and enjoyable to experience.
Loved this game. A nifty Choose-Your-Own-Adventure with a kinky flavor, and it's good. The narrative and descriptions are just a joy to read. I've only tried a couple of paths, but that was more than enough to hook me. I'll definitely play more.
