Mouse capture on the web version doesn't really seem to work properly but it's cuter than it seems.
"Hello,
heart there or reach waste again."
Such was the opening of my first letter with 79000+ points.
This is a cute idea with the energy of madlibs. The opening vibe was a little scary at first, but that's just me having played to many low effort horror games, lol. I think the randomization of dropped words could be a little more controlled, to not force players into collecting entire swaths of words at once. Another Idea could be power ups or modifiers, like making the player element smaller, wider, faster, or slower. Nice entry. :)
I didn't think of those powerups, those seem interesting.
Being able to create an actual cohesive letter was an idea I had, but it was very difficult to execute with the limited time I had even during the jam.
I really like the design of the room, especially the huge teddy bear. I also liked how the words you collect immediately show up on the paper.
Currently, the player seems to turn only 180 degrees when you move the mouse, which gets a little difficult to navigate, making it 360 degree would be better. Adding some sound effects and music would help set the mood.
sorry about that, I forgot that you couldn't have ESC as the pause button for web versions
Idk if it’s just me, but sometimes the hovering acts a bit weird. Otherwise, it’s a pretty nice game! :3
Hey, great work on this! I struggled a little with the 3D controls, because my browser didn’t allow the game to capture the mouse. I encountered this issue myself before (I also use Godot) and what helped me was enabling the “Fullscreen button” on the edit project page on itch.io. This helps, because maximized games usually have no issue capturing the mouse - plus playing on full screen usually improves the experience imo :)
Thanks, I enabled that right away!
Just haven't published many games and the settings on itch kinda confuse me at times.
I saw words i cant repeat here but it made me laugh ! Good work 😊 !
