Visuals
1 ... bg vs main game detail little off
2 ... maybe add little movement of camera
3 ... looks too pixelized for 27inch full hd display
4 ... some animations feels like wood (you feel by constant speed):
4.1 . maybe change interpolation/tween with extra speedlines/opacity would fix this
Design
1 ... maybe darken bg when character is talking
2 ... interesting story
Controls
1 ... responsive
Sound
1 ... interesting sound +1
1.1 . haven't found pattern
Bugs
1 ... (visual) moving in diagonal direction some rectangle appears on tiles (like your texture has no padding)
2 ... (visual) all texture flickers
3 ... no BG sound after sometime of playing
4 ... moving diagonal is little faster than moving only by X or Y axis

Nah that b circe is going to get it! I'm getting the hell out of death's realm.
Jokes aside this was one of my favs. I'm a sucker for this type of narrative game and there was so much creativity here. My only problem with it was that at the part where you start to know about bella with the masks guy I was just able to pass to the next room without getting the last dialogue. Maybe it was allowed because I had just killed the third minion (wich for me was the top one), but it felt kinda weird since at the start of the game you need to press yes to almost every action even though they are required to progress. So I didn't quite expect to just be able to pass to the next scene, also made me wonder if the different finals thing had something to do with not killing the minions (though I now know it's only acepting or not death's dialogue)
I’m so glad you liked it!! And I had no idea about that bug where you can just leave the sewers without getting all the dialogue. That door should’ve only opened after getting the dialogue. We removed some of those choices because we felt they might be redundant, but maybe we should’ve kept them as a failsafe! Thanks for playing anyway!
Hey, I just tried to replicate the bug you got, but wasn't able to. Do you think you could tell me what exactly you did to get that result? If you can't remember, that's totally fine!
Hey shure! I think it was:
So like maybe the door is programmed to open when you have killed all minions? So I interacted with the door wandering what it was even though I was planning to return to get the last dialogue
Thanks for your response! I just tried that sequence and still wasn't able to replicate it. The trigger for opening the door should be within the dialogue code itself, so maybe it was formatted incorrectly. I'll discuss with our programmer! If you want to try to replay it, you can use tab to quickly skip through dialogue. Just make sure to press tab again when you want to toggle off the skipping!
I actually encountered the same bug by following the same steps.
I spoke to our programmer, and he was able to fix the bug. I just happened to be playing on the fixed build when I tested it. Unfortunately, we won't be able to put it on until after the game jam! But I'll add a warning to the itch page until then so that others know!
Beautiful game ! All was really made in one week !?? Amazing work !
Thank you!!! It was all possible thanks to a combined effort between me, our programmer, and our composer!
Beautiful game! Definitely would like to see more!
Thank you!!
Was able to finally figure out the 4 letter riddle after a hint you left in the comments and boy I'm glad I finished it! The art and theme was on point and I loved the background story to this game. Wish we could see the aftermath of 'that' ending tho because now I'm invested lol.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it so much :D
This game was fantastic in many aspects! The story telling, the puzzles, the little hints that lead to solve them without saying too much. 'Bella' felt real and the dialogues were so made well!
The music was pinpoint accurate to the story.
The pixel art was really simple, would have liked a more detailed ones but that's it for the art.
The endings felt a bit rushed but liked the run sequence,
overall 9/10, well done!
Thank you so much! I agree we could've fleshed out the endings more. But glad you enjoyed it regardless! :D
This is a fantastic game. I really took my time with it to soak in all the details. At first I didnt think it would be my type of game, but the depth of each section really pulled me in. The characters and the writing were absolutley on point. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Each area and character was lovingly crafted by me, so I'm glad they were effective. Of course, none of it would've been possible without out programmer and musician :)
Highly sophisticated game. Made in one week? Incredible!
I played through the entire game, and I one thing I would love to see, is easter eggs that could be found when searching in the most unexpected areas, as I usually do...
In addition, I got the "Acceptance Ending" even when I got caught by Death, maybe that should have been another ending.
Finally, I tried to run upwards to what I thought was a door instead of to the right where you achieve the "Escape Ending". This made me restart the whole conversation multiple times, which was a little annoying.
Keep making games! (:
Thank you for all your critique! We would've definitely added easter eggs and some side character NPCs if we had the time! I agree that would've made this game a lot more immersive and fun! And I also agree that being caught by Death should've been another ending, probably with its own ending art. That ending was honestly kind of an afterthought when I realized that would technically be another ending, but we didn't have time to add it. Sorry that the the ending part was confusing! We should've added more direction as to where exactly you were supposed to run.
Thanks again for the critique and for playing!!
wow the art is amazing!! the story is so engaging, loved it
Thanks!!
Great visual novel! I'd like there were some puzzle elements implemented as well which made the whole experiencing more engaging. Great submission and definitely one of the better jams I tried so far!
Thanks you!! That means a lot :D
Awesome art! Damn I struggled with the hopistal riddle, but still got it and figured it out. I think it is really hard to combine visual novels with some riddles since they could completly prevent the player from playing through the journey, but you found a great solution. Good job!
Thank you so much! I like the VN style because it lets me show all the details of the character + expressions. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
I really enjoyed this game! The art is awesome, all the variations of her facial expressions during the dialogue were perfect and the characters were really interesting. My favorite thing about this game is the music, I kept the tab open and listened to it for a while after I finished the game :D it's so nice!
Thank you! Our composer did a great job!! :D
Love your game. The story and art are so cool. Best part about this is there are alternative endings. Great game guys.
Thanks! :D
really amazing story featuring a rich girl who is not self-aware until the afterlife, going through different strange places she doesnt know and meeting out-of-the-ordinary characters that give hints about her past until it is revealed towards the end. the puzzles that make this game interactive are the highlight. in terms of visuals, i really like the hand-drawn art in dialogue and the pixel art when u control the character. in terms of audio, the music along with the sfx (reverbing) also immersed me into the experience. overall, really amazing game keep it up!
Thank you!!
Amazing! The art style is awesome! And Incredible that you finished a whole story in such short amount of time too! Those different mini-games during exploration are super cool too!
The first one (guessing the word) was a bit hard for me though, did took me a while to figure it out. But I really like the overall atmosphere and completeness, which are really solid! Great work!
Thank you so much! A lot of people struggled with that puzzle, so you're good :D
That was an interesting story, I had a fun time piecing things together and I HAD to get to the end and learn the truth. I'm very amazed by the art as well, there was a lot of soul put into each character and the designs were interesting and refreshing.
Thank you! I worked hard on all the character designs! :D
Really good visual novel, art was really good, music great as well and several different endings. Great entry, best of luck in the rankings!
Thank you so much!! Best of luck to you too :D
Nice story with very atmospheric music! The visual novel aspect is well executed, but maybe consider having bella on the side of the screen consistently instead of popping up in the middle occasionally

Thanks, and thanks for the critique!!
