Nice game! I like how you added a leaderboard. I like the art and music, but the backgrounds are a bit distracting at the first 2 levels.
Very cool game! Definitely could do more with the mechanics but what's here is wonderful! Nice work!
Quite an enjoyable and challenging game. The story and the whole setting are crazy and fun. The art helps create the atmosphere, and different localities make it even more wild.
I think it’s the auto-run that is at the core of the game’s fun; it really makes you feel the process of chasing the goddamn gnome with all your mind and soul. But it’s also super challenging for someone who rarely plays this genre. Just for the Jam, it would be helpful to have a couple of lives.
True story, I actually avoided this game due to the reference on the dev's pfp - lol. However, this game is truly fun. I think the art is hilarious and the game works really well with the theme. The controls felt fair and the level design was really good too - coins and collectibles tell you where to go and there are a couple paths where you can clearly see the risk/reward of either. The spacing felt fair too as the platforms and enemies could be avoided with the right inputs.
Really funny to go to a new world and the art and music just change. I tried a few times before getting thru the first loop. Not quite top 10 on the leaderboard though - some of those scores are crazy.
Haha, that's fair. I'm really glad you ended up trying it, though. Appreciate the thoughtful and detailed feedback a ton :)
Quick question, if you don't mind: what about my pfp made you skip it at first? Was it just the vibe, or did it read like something else? I'm not offended at all. I'm genuinely curious, so I can make the page/profile feel more welcoming.
Really cool game! Everything felt incredibly polished, well done! I didn’t even come close to cracking the top scores, but that just made me want to keep playing. Great work!
The music is amazing, and the backgrounds are pretty cool too, altought, in the first and second level type, I found it difficult to see the obstacles ( even though I always lost at the third level type), anyways the character feels pretty good to control, and the game is pretty fun. Well done!
Awesome! The physics are important in this kind of game and fit perfectly. Great choice of music, I really like it! I would have liked a non-leaderboard mode where you can keep going a little further even after a defeat. Otherwise, it was great.
Appreciate the feedback. That would have been a cool idea. I originally did want to do just that: a level select without the leaderboard so players could practice. But alas, the hands of jam-time lol.
Really happy you enjoyed the jump controller and music. Thanks for checking it out and the kudos :)
I can't with the backgrounds (the ones also featured in the screenshots) XXD. Had a lot of fun playing! The art and animations are so cool! The game kinda reminds me of the Friv Original game "Dump Escape" XD, but yours is cooler!
Great job on delivering a polished, fun, solid experience. The animation was really cute, and the audio mixing and music selection on point.
This a cool looking game, and fun to play too, Well done

Wowowow that's such a fun game. I wanna play it more so the I can be higher on the leaderboard. Also I know that you didn't make the music but I still feel like you chose very fitting songs. Omg especially the first song at the disco place! The art was also very nice and I liked running animation on the player. Really nice work.
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you noting the music selection. I took some time making sure the songs were appropriate. The disco song is definitely my favorite as well. I considered just making that the song for all 3 stages because it's so good lol. Thanks for playing and for the kind words :)
Creative idea! I liked the art and sound effects too. Simple little game that I enjoyed playing a few times to place higher on the leaderboard, awesome job!
This was very nice! I was surprised my how much fun I had playing an already existing and very well defined type of game! The juicyness was definetly the winner here and I could say the same about Super Cute Slime Attack!
The leaderboard is also always a plus in game jams since it connects the community so well (Don't ask me about my score! I'm working on it)
If I were to give and adivice though I would defintly recommend for you guys to look at some design and artistic fundamentals (and I'm not talking only about illustration). There's so much creativity and style here, taking some time to learn this kinda stuff can be a little difficult or boring but it would definetly up it all by a hundred! There's no problem going for some simple ui and that's also just kinda of recommended for a jam, but I missed stuff like just having some different in theme font for the entire project or a in game score with some better contrast with the background.
Ka & Mi from nowhere cuisine say: "The gnomes are so kwaii! It's a shame they keep on taking Ka & Mi sooks all the time. Ka & Mi will maybe play just a few more times before returning to saving the universe ~"
Thanks for checking out Slime Attack, lol! I expected no one to ever play that again.
Super appreciate the compliments, and honestly, even more the critical feedback. I 100% agree with you. That kind of design/presentation polish (fonts, UI contrast, readability) really does make a game feel way more finished, even if the gameplay is already fun.
This was my 3rd game jam, so a lot of my time still goes into just getting the gameplay working. As I get faster, I want to leave more room for the finer stuff like UI and overall presentation. Your comment was a good reminder that it matters, so I’m definitely going to scope better next time to make time for it. Thanks again for that note :)
And thanks for stopping by, Ka & Mi lol. I get it, saving the universe comes first. But if you see any socks floating around out there… feel free to drop them off on your way through.
