How does the game fit the theme?
You're in a place of a strange city and have to kill Non Euclidian Racoons
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Only textures were from outside sources but all code and assets were made completely from scratch in jam period by me
How many people worked on the game?1

Overall enjoyable though. Great job
Played the game! As you asked for a bit of criticism, here it is:
What was good:
- The visuals are nice, especially the main character
- The movement also felt good, even though it would be nice to make the camera move upwards and downwards more - imho, its vertical rotation is too limited
- The performance was good. Framerate is a big problem for many 3D WebGL projects, and I'm glad it's not the case for you
- R A C C O O N S
What could be improved:
- If the core of your game is some repetitive action, you should make performing it as pleasing and rewarding as possible. You can add splashy visual effects and particles when the player shoots or when a raccoon is dead. The score text should update with active or flashy animations, like in DMC4, for instance. Also, zooming the screen in and out a bit when the player fires the gun can add to the game dynamics. There's a nice video on YouTube demonstrating many of these concepts named "Can We Make This Button Fun To Press?". I suggest you checking it out!
- Sounds and active music would also be much appreciated. "Tasty" sounds add a lot to game feeling
- A progression system will give the player reasons to stay longer as they will see the reason to play further
Overall, the entry feels too empty at the moment, but genuinely has a great potential to evolve into a banger if you decide to work on it more after the jam.
Great game!!!!
This one was honestly really funny lol. Running around blasting raccoon PNGs made me laugh way more than it should have. The player movement actually feels pretty nice and the character model looks great too!
Adding some sound effects and music would probably make the shooting feel a bit better, but even as it is this was a fun little game. Really solid start for a first jam, keep going!!
ALSO, if you like brain-teasing puzzle platformers make sure to check out our game!!!
The idea of fighting raccoons is pretty dope and I think it's secretly a fantasy that appeals to a lot of people haha. Yes the controls were kinda janky especially the jumping but for a first gamejam not bad at all! seems like a project you will learn a lot from :) please keep it up!!!
Love the player movement and the raccoon pngs haha. Super fun, good job!
Great game! only problem is the fps is very low on the html version, perhaps adding performance logic to the game or smooth shading things might make the fps a stable amount. But I understand the time constraints especially from school, I too suffer from it :( but hey its a better game than mine!
Perhaps you would like to try out my game :D
Great work for a 1st jam. The character visual and animations were great. Even just adding in some basic audio would add a lot to it, but overall great job
It was really a fun game to play. Definitely a great submission for a first game jam. Enjoyed a lot while shooting those Racooooonnnsss (I was locked in) lol. Gg overall
Hey guys thanks for the feedback it means the world :D
And yes unfortunately I do know the jump's broken, I was planning on scrapping it altogether because I was running into a glitch and couldn't resolve it in time, but forgot to remove it when publishing it on itch unfortunately :(
Sorry about that guys..
Thanks so much tho!
This is a very unique game! And for being one of your first jams, this is very impressive! I very much like the design of the player, and the map overall looks very good! It may be a bit obvious, but sound and music would go a long way, alongside some additional animations. But other than that, this is great!
