Description
The Idea behind this track was to create a powerful, whimsical, triumphant, and serious-not-so-serious song emulating the start-up of a title screen. I was heavily inspired by the orchestral works of Black & White (+ 2), and I tried my best to emulate the style seen in those games e.g. orchestral percussion, syncopation, panning, etc. All done in FL Studio, only used Proteus soundbanks (killer soundbanks btw), compressions and panning.

Awesome, bold title screen theme. Definitely fits the Gen 5 style, and that bass at 1:25 is such a great soundfont, makes the song so hype! Nice job!
This is a really engaging and dynamic song! When it gets quiet after the start, the dynamic contrast is great but maybe it gets a little too quiet; I would consider bringing out the piano more. I could see this playing behind an epic intro cutscene of the game.
That's epic! The trumpets at the start could be a little louder. sounds like there's supposed to be timpani throughout most of the song but it's extremely drowned out, I would increase the volume of those, and reduce frequency they are playing when the song is more intense as the instruments and the snare already provide enough movement.
Wow This one was a blast! I think the composition is amazing. I especially felt the transitions where super fluid. (1:11 was my favorite). In fact the only thing I have to say is that id wish the song moved just a tad bit "brighter" in sections. The epic and triumphant parts where spot on, the "serious not so serious" bit I was less convinced of. It sounds like BW and BW2 opt to go in to variations of the original PKM theme at point in the song.
If you arnt that hard stuck on being 1 to 1 then its already a bop IMO!
Thank you for the kind words and the criticism!
It definitely gives me title screen vibes. Very cool. I would definitely say some adjustment of the mix would be beneficial in order to bring certain elements into focus a bit more.
Thank you! I absolutely agree with you on the mixing part; There's definitely an improvement to be had. Mixing's always been a hard thing for me to get right.
Yeah I get that. Learning to mix is a never ending lesson! It definitely takes a long time to get to grips with. Sounds like you're well on your way though!
The idea behind this is really cool! Not many people go for title screen music, but you did it really well! The style here is really on point, very accurate to how real games do it. My favorite part was the percussion, they were doing some crazy stuff that made the piece really intense and epic. I feel the melody could've been brought out more though, it's kind of lost in the background with the other instruments and could be more prominent in the mix. I also enjoyed the nice piano line at the end that brought down the energy for the song's conclusion. Well done!
Thank you! I put a lot of focus on the percussion and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I agree with you on the mixing part; it's the hardest part of production for me at the moment. If I gave myself more time I would definitely bring out the piano and the high horns in certain sections.
