This submission imitates pokémon battle themes quite well, between the moving bass, arpeggios, and chord progressions. This track would greatly benefit from some percussive sounds, especially when only one instrument is playing, to help fill out the sound and preserve the sense of movement.

Description
This would be a battle theme from the Red/Blue era. I started with no knowledge of the Pokemon themes, so I mostly tried to follow the limitations of the Gameboy hardware of 3 mono tracks and not using a noise track since that wouldn't be used in a battle theme. I'm not sure I was able to absorb the Pokémon leitmotifs or specific compositional patterns in such little time, so the themes might be off. Tried my best and had lots of fun. Now I know a ton more and have great newfound respect for Pokémon music after going through this rabbit hole. Tools used: Reaper DAW and Soraboy VST for all sounds.
