Hi everyone, I'm making a series called Shadow of the Tsukumogami and need help from: Anime artist (character designs, illustrations) Background artist Animator (2D) Voice actors (JP or EN) Storyboard artist Colorist / Compositor Producer / Project manager About the Series: In the mist-shrouded mountains of Edo-era Japan, a young woman named Kagura lives alone at an ancient temple, performing the sacred duty of purifying tsukumogami—objects that have gained souls and become spirits. She has no memory of her parents, no knowledge of her true name, and no past beyond the temple walls. When a traveling merchant brings her a cursed bell that whispers her name, Kagura discovers she possesses a rare gift: she doesn't simply banish spirits—she witnesses their memories, feels their grief, and learns the names they've forgotten. But something darker watches from the shadows. The Umbra Collector follows her journey, harvesting the released spirits for his own mysterious collection. And a wandering swordsman named Ao, carrying a blade that feeds on its wielder's memories, finds himself drawn to Kagura's path. As Kagura walks the lonely roads between villages, she begins to suspect that her own past is woven into the very spirits she purifies. The faces she sees in memories resemble her own. And somewhere beyond the forest, a truth waits that will force her to answer the question she's avoided her entire life: Who am I, really? The Project: 20 episodes (complete story arc, scripts finished) Runtime: ~20 minutes per episode Setting: Rural Edo-era Japan Tone: Emotional, atmospheric, character-driven (think Mushishi meets Natsume's Book of Friends ) Current Status: ✅ Full scripts (Episodes 1-20) ✅ Detailed character bibles ✅ Worldbuilding notes ✅ Visual reference prompts ❌ Need team to bring it to life Payment: This project is sadly unpaid for now . I'm being completely transparent about this upfront. This is a passion project built by people who love anime and want to create something meaningful.
