Excellent work! One heck of a game, I really enjoyed this one and I'm sure I'll be coming back to it!
This one is up there as one of my favourites!! I love the use of the theme, would be cool to see an expanded/more polished version.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll try to do some more to it once the jam is over. It seems I have a few things I need to add/change. If you have suggestions let me know!
Heyo! I know it's been a while since the jam, but I actually took the time to spruce up the game in my spare time. I'd like your opinion on it if you get a moment!
Looking good!! I think the only thing it's missing is a nice transition/intro before the player spawns and after they die.
Oh! That’s a good idea! I hadn’t even thought about that. Thank you!
Nice game. As mentioned below, it's pretty hard! In the comments on the game page someone suggested adding a high score table, so I've created one in the comments :)
Yeah, I wanted to try to implement one, but I've never done that before, so I'll have to research that. I ditched it to try and hit time, but I never added it back when I passed time. I'll have to add one once the jam is done. Thanks for playing
For a previous game (https://vmpwje.itch.io/pac-man-metamorphosis) I wanted a high score which was essentially an integer, stored somewhere in the cloud, that I could reference. I after looking around a bit I discovered Firebase which allowed me to do that for free. It was pretty easy to integrate too, though probably more effort than I'd want to put into a 3-hour jam!
Thanks for suggesting using Firebase! I took some time to polish the game and add the highscore board. If you get a moment to check it out, I'd appreciate your opinion
Very nice additions! Looks so much more polished than before. Excellent job!
Nice work. The difficulty is pretty hard with the speed of dodging your own projectiles and the enemies and the traps all at the same time. Some music would be a nice addition to capture more environment.
I agree. I'll have to make a track or two once the jam is done. Thanks for playing!
I know it's been a while since the jam but I added some music, a menu, and redid all the visuals. If you get a moment I'd appreciate some feedback on the changes. Thanks!
Satisfying mechanics. The sounds were not what I expected, but it was interesting to hear with every shot bound. I really liked that if you miss a shot, it’s the end for you xD.
It could use some music, so it’s not just echoes. Also, sometimes the shot would bounce outside the wall and escape.
Other than that, I had fun, thanks! My time: 53 seconds :p.
I think you beat mine! I'm pretty sure I've only hit 52 Seconds. I was trying to find some music in my library, but nothing I had made fit. I try not to use premade assets. I like when I can say I did them all. Maybe I'll make something for an update. Thanks for playing
I finally got around to fixing that issue with the bullets passing through the walls, as well as some other additions and general polish. Since you played the jam version, I'd appreciate some feedback if you get the time. Thanks
I was also really confused at first, then I also realized I can move lol... Goes to show I need to pay more attention to the description! Well done!
Sorry, I probably should have given a control guide on the side. I had plenty of space for it. Perhaps I'll update it once the jam is over
I know it's been a bit since the jam, but would you mind checking out the update I made to the game? I want the opinions of people I know played the jam version. Don't worry, I made the instructions a little more clear ;)
You've made a huge improvement! Movement feels just about right. It can get pretty tricky pretty fast, but there's nothing wrong with that, especially for an arcade game like this. Well done!
Really hard, but really fun. My best time: 18s
Glad you enjoyed it! As many times as I've tried I've never passed a minute
I know it's been a while since the jam, but would you mind checking out the new update for the game? I tried to take some time to practice polishing a game and I'd appreciate the feedback of those who played the jam version. Thanks
Was confused at first as to why I was dying but then noticed I can move and the red circle was killing me lol.
Fun game you made here but could do without the red circle I think (Personal opinion). I died a lot and didn't last long with my obvious skill issue.
Overall it works well but could do with some music and screen shake.
Great work on this and keep going.
Yeah, those are good points. I was trying to keep to the 3 hour limit but I didn't even have sfx. The red circle was added because I realized it was too easy to stay in the center. I wanted to give incentive to move, but maybe I could have done another method or increased the time between spawns. Thanks for the feedback!
That 3 hours goes fast.
Heyo! I know it's been a while since the jam, but I just uploaded a new update for the game where I spent some time polishing it. I'm trying to get the opinions of people who played the jam version so I can continue to learn. I'd appreciate any thoughts you'd have if you get the time to play. I haven't removed the red circle, but I have an idea for a replacement down the road.
