Nice submission!

I explored the map, enjoyed the wildlife sounds and psychedelic visuals, and made myself an infinite fire! The version I downloaded seemed to be a debug build, so I’ll give most things the benefit of doubt—the most egregious? some errors in the console!

Time management is tough, and life always gets in the way. I’m very curious to see whether this project continues, so you may show us what was originally envisioned. There is surely room for an accessible multiplayer survival game in this space.

Thanks for hosting!

This is definitely a WIP.

Footstep sounds play very inconsistantly, which is a pain when there is no other way to gather items but to count the steps. And that’s when you’re actually walking on the map itself; to start with I went forward, the most natural first choice, which apparently took me off the map entirely.

The ambience is nice of course, but a little too static. Though perhaps I just didn’t go in the right direction on the map?

I also had trouble with the game getting stuck together and no longer accepting any movement input, even while I was still on the map. The menus, oddly enough, still worked. It may happen after moving away from the game and then back into it, but I’m not 100% certain.

Crafting games aren't totally my jam, but I would love to see more games explore this space!

As others mentioned, I couldn't do too much. The menu navigation was a little unwieldy, and I definitely wouldn't have know to move around unless I was looking at the screen.

I really enjoyed using Tab to tell me where nearby things were, and how many steps to get there. I think that's a great way to communicate that information. Unfortunately it seems like some of the steps didn't always make a sound (if that was intentional though, it certainly would make it a fun challenge 😅).

I can definitely see that this is a work in progress. I feel the concept had potential and the sounds were nice. I hope you get to work on this and make it better.

I like the idea of an exploratory game, but there were some issues I faced.

Upon opening the game, I didn't hear anything. I opened up Windows Magnifier and saw that it was looking for a room code. I just put in something random and hit "Host Game"

From there, I was placed in the game. I heard footsteps when I was walking, but only for a little bit, then I got lost. I looked closely at the screen and notice there was a green and blue patch of land and water. When walking around on there, I could hear footsteps, but still wasn't quite sure what to do.

After walking around, I noticed there were some items on the ground to pick up. There was no sound indicating I could do that though or even when I was near them, so I was at first confused. After picking up the items, I found them in my inventory.

I like the fact that the voice read out what I had.

I opened up the instructions, but had to arrow through them for it to begin talking. I found my way to the crafting menu and was able to craft a fire, but was wishing there was a fire sound effect.

I figured out that I could put sticks on the fire. to keep the fuel going.

After a while though, I was at a loss for what to do.

Overall, I think this is an okay start, but I'd really focusing on instructing the player through sounds on what to do and where to go. Also placing some walls in the area so we don't end up wandering off into the void.

I hope more can come of this project! I managed to craft the campfire, but then after I stood on it, the game froze and I could no longer interact with anything or open the menus. I like the look of the more finished visuals a lot, and the ambient background noise is great.

It´s in a very very alpha state, oh ^^! I prefer not to vote the entry, but I will follow its evolution ;)

Thank you! That is all very true, unfortunately we overscoped (I take all the fault!).
