I think it's neat, Combat feels good and tactile and I like the fact that you actually block and not dodge through everything. My nitpicks would be the CRT filter and the broken ai that is constantly sheathing and unsheathing. especially with the reasonably loud SFX, Speaking of which, would be nice if Greatswords didn't share the same unsheathing sfx as short sword n' shield because it doesn't make any sense and makes me pop a vein. Beyond that it would be things with the art style but it's probably too underdeveloped anyways. I'm interested to see more of this.
Preferred it without the filter feels like parry has too many frames, I shouldn't be able to parry when I did it too early and my shield is fully extended and he's hitting the tip of it
doesn't seem to be vulnerability frames between end of parry and snapping back to guard if you hold guard. couldn't get hit, tried.
And I'm pretty sure that if the char is facing the camera the dot product check breaks for attack angling up/down and it always faces up, tested it a bunch.
It would be nice to adventure a bit further with John Chthonic if there were savepoints.
Maybe in the heat of battle I was running out of stamina but in the dual enemy encounter I felt like I cannot pary or run away when they got too close to me.
For me it was a bit tought to play with mouse and keyboard on a windowed VM, as my mouse was going outside the window when I turned (probably not a problem for most).
The game feels a lot more responsive since the last time I've played. Also, the key mappings feel more natural.
The AI did something wierd though, they would keep swapping weapons as if they were teabagging or something. This left them open to be attacked once, while they were locked on this behaviour.

Mostly similar experience to last I played. CRT filter could be a toggle.

I am looking forward to trying it again!
CRT filter makes text painful to read.

It's a cool game but the camera feels a bit slow to turn.
