I love how chill this game is! My only complaint would be that the VFX over the screen are a little too strong. I also think that it would be nice to have the gameplay evolve a bit over time, maybe like a shop where you can buy upgrades to do things like make the player faster, for example.

Ultimately this game is pretty neat! Keep up the good work!

Nice game!

Feedback:

- improved character speed

- timer for collecting (but the chill vibe is also cool)

- color matching for all resources and tracker. maybe i'm blind, but i kept grabbing the wrong thing

Overall: Awesome jam game!

Developer

Thank you so much! I have received a lot of feedback about plant / colour clarity so I will definitely take it on board for next time.

Cool game! It´s very polished, visuals are cool and I liked the music very much. The gameplay loop is solid, and incredibly intuitive and easy to get into. Great job!

Thank you so much!

Loved the CRT distortion effect! Gave it a lot of charm and personality. I also like how intuitive it is. You can jump in with minimal instructions and it works well, as the plants are easy to differentiate and learn. I also really like how polished it feels. Even if a small game, the menus, options and everything is really well "packed" together, if it makes sense

Developer

Thank you so much!! I made sure to put a lot of effort into making it feel polished this time around and I'm glad it paid off.

Really intuitive, I like the complexity of having three separate resources you have to manage. My only feedback was three item slots felt pretty punishing once the levels start requiring more resources, maybe a possibility for an upgrade system? Besides that though, the game has a really charming aesthetic and feels polished. Definitely another banger Fish Production (Flightless Bird was one of my favs from Quebel's Jam)!

Developer

Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you have been enjoying my games! I 100% agree that an upgrade system would have been good. I was trying to get one done before submission but unfortunately i ran out of time. I will also admit that I was excited when I saw you put in for this game jam as well because I loved your entry to Quebel's Jam!

I liked how clear everything was right from the start. The portal telling you exactly what you need, the color coding, the little blue arrow tracking stuff, it all made it really easy to just jump in and start playing. The sprint helps a lot too, especially once you get into the back-and-forth rhythm.

The title screen was clean, and I like how the how-to info is right there. I actually went back to double check something and it was nice not having to guess. The options menu, having some real settings in it, was cool too. And that CRT scroll effect gave it some charm. It threw me off for a second when reading, but after a bit it just felt like part of the vibe.

Really chill game. Laid-back music and satisfying little SFX when collecting made it easy to just zone out and gather resources for awhile. Congrats on getting it done during your work days!

I really like the cute visuals and the audio, they work well together.
Personally, I felt the distortion shader was a little intense, but that might just be me.
Nice work overall!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on our game as well if you get the chance.

Developer

Thank you so much! I decided to spend a lot of effort into the visuals this time around and I'm glad it paid off. I did receive a lot of feedback about the distortion shader being a bit too much so it wasn't just you!

Good work and concept. I feel like the distortion shader is a bit too strong for me, but I like the vibe the game is going for.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback aswell.

Great vibe - enjoyed the collecting with some chilled music. The artstyle was a really great fit too - I thought the CRT distortion effects were really nice.

Did get a little repetitive, but think it's a great basis that could be expanded with more time!

Developer

Thank you!! I decided this time to spent more effort on visuals then I normally would so I'm glad to hear you liked it!

Great job with the visuals ! The gameplay is a little too repetitive. You could add some encounters / mechanics to make it more enjoyable. Your post processing is really amazing !

Overall great job for this jam !

Check our game too ;)

Developer

Thank you!!! I agree that adding some encounters would make it heaps more fun. I normally don't do art stuff so I'm really happy to see that you liked it!!!!

So strange and trippy! Well done with nailing the theme... the visuals and music tied together beautifully. The glitchy screen and post processing made it instantly immersive for me.

Thank you so much!!!! I really put a lot of time into the visuals this time around and I'm glad you liked it!
