Amazing. At first I didn't even notice the level selection because UI doesn't communicate that well.
This game is way too forgiving for all the bullshit I was pulling off. Dropkick is kind of too good, you can skip blocking mechanics, though rarely it can be countered.
Some NPCs in the onsen can get stuck on walls and other NPCs creating tricky situations. First target got stuck on a woman in a perfect defensive position on a bridge with lookout at the door, with a body shield while sniping with shurikens. Thank god for smoke bombs.
I had lots of funny moments, like finding a guy who poisoned himself with a banana, sneaking up on him to figure out what's happening and getting jump scared by a ninja right next to me, and then finally slipping on the banana peel. I also suicide banana bombed another target by dying and dropping all the items, so he started eating them with his bodyguard. When I found them with another character they kept slipping on the peels. Would be even funnier if slipping could make people fall out of the windows.
I adore this game because i feel it has all the sandbox elements that can be used for anything and resembles not only one of my favourite game (Tenchu) but also seems to get the interactivity from another favourite of mine (Gothic Series)
I've completed 2 mission and as pure stealth is quite goofy cause there aren't enough tools to deal with the person with 2 ninjas but it was funny to find a guy with a gun and fricking shoot him
There a couple of exploits like: - Jumping doesn't make any sound for enemies making the best movement option - Second best is rolling as you can roll infinitely is faster than running and is silent - Enemies do not really chase you making messy stealth the best option - The cone of vision in front of enemies should also include a small area around them as I could pass trough them by crouching side by side - Wrestle and grab is too effective, single enemies cannot really avoid getting grabbed and than chocked
What kind of plan are for this game? Is going to have static levels or some management progression? There was another game called "Shinobido" that basically was "ninja life simuator" and had multiple ending on which lord you served.
Also wouldn't be better to have a super jump after a roll? Air control movement seems to be to generous and I kept climbing where i feel I wasn't supposed to.
kinda cool, I liked the assassinations more than anything. there doesn’t seem to be any penalty to running in and killing though since you can just dodge and eat one of your 200 bananas.
one thing that was cool was the enemy in the onsen level that had the frame data to push you back if you spammed attack too much though.
i played this for longer than i planned. it's fun.
is it correct the make-evil-clone thing doesn't work on enemies?
a few minor things i encountered in the onsen leven were that you slowly slide off the grey slabs that are on the side of 1 of the buildings if you stand on them.
also in the onsen level you can grab the edge of the window and climb upwards on a place that doesn't look like you should be able to do that. i was able to cheese my way onto a part of roof that would normally be out of reach.
haha i was wondering if anyone would find the clone item. I hid it because it's buggy and often crashes the game when the clones disappear. Also it lets you duplicate any items the clones have, or permanently lose items if the clones pick them up, so i'm not sure what the design should be.
I'm actually aware of both the sliding and grabbing tiny ledges that you can't even stand on. I feel like leaving them in because the difficulty of fixing them isn't worth it for a little less jank, although I appreciate you pointing it out anyway.

There's a new level and some new moves
