How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
Blow a whistle to send a directional freeze wave that shuts down robots, cannons, and cameras for several turns. Bounce it off mirrors to reach around corners, or hit a generator to freeze the entire facility. 5-turn cooldown, use it wisely.

Amazing game! Probably my favorite in this jam. Managing to use procedural generation for a puzzle game while still generating puzzles that are challenging, interesting, and not too unfair is a tremendous achievement in my eyes. It was a bit too difficult for me, especially level 9, which took a lot of tries and some good RNG to beat, to the point where it became a little frustrating. Level 10 was actually much more fun since you had more space to maneuver.

I actually have a lot of feedback since I played this for quite a while:

  • I feel like we should be able to walk through frozen robots.
  • I think robots should not keep aggro after being frozen.
  • The moving platforms should have more states where you can walk on them. They seemed interesting, but they were available for such a short time that it felt more about luck than planning.
  • I think making the robots face the next position they will move to on the following turn would make planning easier and deeper, while reducing the frustration caused by randomness.
  • Bullets should spawn in front of the cannon rather than directly on it. It happened often that a turret spawned in a one-square area where the only path required walking onto it, and I had no way to tell when it had last fired since the bullet instantly hit a wall. You can just hope to get lucky and it not shooting when you step on it.

Nice puzzle game! The whistle use was clever and worked great! You put a lot of work into this and I can tell! I think this would be worth polishing for sure! Good work!

Great game! I like that you can freeze enemies for a set of turns and take multiple actions with one click instead of moving tile by tile

Nicely done! Super cool puzzles man.

You've done a great job, this is a fun puzzle game! The turn-based system lets you plan out your moves ahead of time and try to be smart about solving the level. On top of the freeze wave, time is also frozen between turns, so you've done more than you said for the theme.

I found the controls a little bit difficult to use. Sometimes I would click on along a diagonal and the path-finding would take me through the robot and immediately lose the level. I think I would have found tapping WASD to move one square at a time a bit easier, but that might just be me.

Overall, nice work :)

Thanks a lot! I wanted to make it more turn based and that's why I wanted to avoid WASD, but maybe some mouse pointer effect of some highlight where you point the mouse would have helped, hope you liked it!

It's a nice concept. Brings me back to the classic MGS games VR missions. Nice work!

Thank!

It's a cool concepts (no pun intended). I found it hard to move around and freeze things, since you need to be facing them, so if a robot is chasing me I had to turn around and freeze them. And even if I did so I'd walk into them and they'd kill me.

Still, well implemented theme and special object, good job!

Developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback, you can use the mirrors (blue cubes or diagonal panels) to hit the robots from different angles even if player is not facing the enemy

I like the mechanics of everything moving only as many steps as you do, really makes you think!

Nice game!
