I've generally been prioritising games with later submissions/ less ratings, but had really wanted to get to yours! glad I did, it was very enjoyable and fun :D I won't lie, I got locked into the dodging at first and forgot entirely about the whistle but definitely managed to get further when I remembered hahaha! so cool as a solo project too :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the whistle is an absolute lifesaver sometimes haha

Nice music, cute and heartwarming concept. Some animations would not hurt! Anyways great work

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I absolutely agree! Will not skip out on those next time! Thank you for playing and the tips :)

Great game! It might need some polish (Character animations,  tweening for the spikes...) but gameplay-wise it's really good.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Definitely gonna polish this baby. Loving the feedback, thank you!

Fun game, the balancing was really well done and loved the art too!

Thank you! :)

Simple and cute, congrats for finishing a game! Visually I think that having more separation between what is a game object and what is GUI could help - I tried collecting the whistle before realising it's UI. Gameplay wise it would be sweet to have faster and more dynamic movement of the character

Developer

Awesome advice, thank you so much! And Thank you for playing!

This is a fun game. The music and sound effects are cool. The cartoon character is so cute. I could play this for a while.

Developer

Thank you! :)

Good job! I like the little fellas, and I felt protective towards them lol. An idea would be like to lead them along a path to safety instead of just back to the middle. Regardless I like the calming music, its very cute!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed and felt the need to protect them lol.  And that would be a really cute feature to try and add as well. I'm currently working on grey-scaling and setting the friends color to random and having them stay with you!

The music is excellent and the visuals are very fun! The idea is simple but very effective. I think it would work very nicely as a fast paced game that times how long you last.

Developer

Thank you for playing and kind words! I'll be making some adjustments to this project based on feedback after the jam, so I really appreciate it!

A surprisingly relaxing game for one about dodging icicles and saving friends from hypothermia. Reminds me a bit of Gridiron Gauntlet from Super Mario Party.

Had a great time listening to the music and moving around the screen dodging the icicles as they came. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you! Lol the music is just a decoy... and it absolutely has a similar movement pattern to GGauntlet from SMP. Glad you enjoyed! :)

I’d like to have a word with the person or thing that keeps capturing my friends… Great game and I appreciate that you put a delay on the spikes firing so players can see where they’re going to come from and plan their movements accordingly. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Lol, in my mind they get GOT by the icicles before you get there.  Thank you for the kind words and pointing out the on-screen delay! It was a much-needed feature.

Chill game, cute visual and sound effect. The only thing to me is that I think we have to wait too long before it gets tough/interesting and at first, I thought that the frozen friends we freed would act like a snake mechanic and therefore add to the difficulty. I think that could have been fun. Anyway, well done, it's fun to play!

Developer

Thank you! Seems like the desire to see the friends is a common theme, so I'll have to add that in after the jam! Nice ideas and thank you for the kind words!
