I really like this game! It kinda reminds me of Alto’s Adventure on mobile. The ending was pretty creepy, especially the way the hand reaches out for you. Congrats on the entry! :D

This was a pretty nice and small game, reminiscent of old browser horror games. I think the audio helped give that vibe greatly. The ending felt a bit abrupt, its delivery could probably be a bit improved. A better indication of the obstacles could also help as well - sometimes I’ve jumped over some things that could have well possibly be part of the background, but I just wasn’t sure. Increasing the tension and suspense at the end might help with the atmosphere as well.

Overall the game is pretty cool, and the gameplay was simple enough.

I really liked the sound design, I liked the song and thought it slowing down more and more was cool and foreboding. I liked the different types of things to dodge and the visuals for them were cool. I thought the ending with the watcher letting me off with a warning was funny considering how many others had died to the mountain.

I enjoyed this game a bit, though the sprites overlapping when two obstacles came at the same time was quite odd. The entity being blurry when he was big was a bit funny though i don't think that was intentional. Also the ending card screen was zoomed in on my computer and it seemed zooming in let me see more of it but not all of it, even though the game was in full screen. Other than that it was interesting, i liked it!

Developer

Aha yes I did implement the entity only in the last couple of days, so it was superr rushed unfortunately. I've received other feedback about the blurriness so Its something I will be attempting to fix for sure! thank you for pointing out and also about the overlapping. This all helps for my next update I appreciate it :) thanks for playing!

Cute little game. I liked the little wizard guy, wished there was a bit more of him attacking the player. Hoped for a bit more gameplay; more stuff to dodge in a bullet hell kinda way. The sprites having filtering on make it a bit blurry and I feel like it would look better with nearest filtering enabled for the crisper pixel art.

That is a really good point about enabling nearest filtering, In my next update I'll definitely try it out :) I appreciate all your feedback thank you for playing !

It was a fun short game.  I disliked the music for it.  I did like some of the visuals on it.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :) The music has been mentioned a few times so its definitely something for me to take away from this experience and learn from!

honestly, the audio isnt good, but I can get past it. the snow looks like it moves with the player so it feels like us and the snow are moving together not seperately. other then that its definately playable nice job

Developer(+1)

That's good to note and I defo will be playing with the ground layer a bit more to make it move as it stayed stationary the whole game, and I understand about the audio it was not the strongest point! Its been a learning experience for me using free sounds, but I would try reaching out to an audio composer for my next jam instead as it can really turn things around. Thank you for your feedback!

well done.

the end screen was not fully readable until enabling full screen.

Ahh yes, I could not figure out how to fix the sizing issue in the end and all I could do was leave a line saying to full screen it. After the jam this is on my list to look into! thank you for your feedback!

A good game. Dino run? it reminded me of that. i played to the end i think i with the message about the watcher? Good take on the horror with elements

Developer

I defo had that in mind as inspiration as I really liked the simple style of Dino run, which was perfect for a beginner programmer like me. Thank you !

The art and the distortion in the audio are nice.

I didn't understand what the Shift button does. It resized and i can't stand up again

Developer(+1)

ahaha, I had completely forgotten I'd put that in. In the end I could not figure out how to make it work with my sprite and made a note to remove the "crouch", however I got distracted and never did so thank you for pointing that out XD it will be removed, thanks for your feedback!

The visual design is really good, I like the fact that it's handmade!
I also loved the staging and the distorsion in the music which brought pressure.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks very much!
