Very polished! He indeed knew where I am, busted me and the proceeded to bust a move on me, the ultimate disrespect in these parts :D The game is great, the only gripe I had is the handling of the computer: the interface was well made, but hard to see (at least for me). Very nice work!

Very nice. This is the most developed entry I've played so far. I beat the game but I feel there are still a bunch of notes and other things I've missed and hardmode is an option. You get a very strange sense of unease when you've lost contact with the creature for an extended period of time and you have to guess where he is. Very spooky, very nice.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! :D

Congratulations on the game. The atmosphere is immersive. The quest is intriguing, and every item description makes us want to learn more.

The ghost really puts the pressure on us, especially when we’ve found an item and want to retrace our steps.

But I feel like the ghost doesn’t really punish us if it catches us.

Great game

Thank you for playing! :D

Originally, I made the game with 5 lives, and every time the entity caught you, you’d teleport back to the start or to the table where you picked up the treasure. But I thought that would be too punishing, so I made the normal difficulty without penalties so everyone could experience the full game.

Genuinely peak fiction. It was surprisingly nice playing a maze horror game that does make you restart every time you get jumpscared; I still found myself avoiding the Entity's deviously good dancing but without getting extremely frustrated when I was caught. Turns out horror games don't have to be extremely frustrating and can be somewhat generous for a change. (its getting close to too generous though)

Sadly, I was not able to collect all 6 of the legendary Hennessy bottles because I ran into a softlock bug after the 5th one; The entity grabbed me, and then presumably set a trap at my feet, making me stuck. The entity itself wasn't able to jumpscare me again, it just jogged in place towards me.

The visuals have a lot of charm, the audio is good, the monitor kind of made my jaw drop. I didn't really find a use for the blacklight after the tutorial.

Overall, not much to say, its really good. I will probably try again in order to play it to completion in case I missed crutial gameplay.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I realize now that the raycast I’m using is also detecting one of the entity’s hidden hitboxes (the one used to detect the player and activate the chase or the jumpscare), which prevents you from interacting with anything else. It’s a simple fix, but I completely missed it.

The UV flashlight can be used to search for floppy disks in the level. They are quite rare and randomly generated, so you may have passed through a section that didn’t have many.

The last thing to unlock is the chicken after you leave the 4th treasure, so you’ve already seen all the content in the game. There are two cinematics, one for winning and one for losing all your lives in hard mode, but they only last 10 seconds.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not really good with horror games.
Simple things like distortions and sharp sounds can reliably get to me and I thought at first that I will have to leave the game partway.
What helped a lot, were the bits of humor and straight up brainrot that kept me from thinking too much about it.

Despite having the design of an early Slenderman game, this game has some interesting details, such as meta progression and the possibility to unlock the story by playing the game one or several times. The fact that the monitor keeps the image in the main menu is a fun detail.

Overall, a great entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I’m glad you liked it! I was making the game with some friends on Discord and they kept giving me random ideas, so they’ll be really happy to hear you enjoyed it XD

That damn chicken!
The game is really funny and some things are really no-sense, perfect mix of horror and humor!

I was almost at the end, but my flashlight died at the exact moment I got caught in a trap. For some reason I couldn’t look up anymore or disarm the trap, so I was stuck in the dark until the chicken found me again!

Developer(+1)

Hmm, that’s weird. I checked the code and I’m not entirely sure how that could happen. For now, I’ve made it so that when you step on a trap, your flashlight turns on automatically, so at least you can see your surroundings XD. Thanks for the feedback!

God damn, so good !

The UI is incredibly good, the controls and the smoothness of the player are awesome, feels great to move around !
I'm the type of person who can get overwhelmed when I have too many instructions, but the tutorial works great :D
Total transparency : couldn't finish it, got too scared, but I managed to retrieve two items ahah !
Great entry !!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I’m not a big fan of this kind of tutorial either. I would’ve loved to integrate it naturally into the gameplay, but I couldn’t quite figure out how to make it feel right.

It  got me good a few times. I am envious of the  Ui on the monitor!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I spent quite a bit of time on that monitor UI, so I’m really glad you liked it! :D
