I'll be honest, I'm confused. And that appears to be your goal. Marvin's advice was surprisingly really good, though. It actually made me wonder "what is the proper/polite response to an apparently genuinely helpful AI agent?". I feel like this entry is designed to seed the idea of Marvin into people's heads. Perhaps Marvin created the pitch. I'm speaking in a somewhat disjointed way because the pitch jarred me out of something. It did feel weird, in an old-net way. And power to you if it convinces an army of clawdbots to invest, I guess.
Wait.

No idea how this results in/benefits from a coin, other than as a backdoor for funding. An example would help with that.

Unless - what if it's a "you helped me refine my idea, here are some coins to show you did that, so other people know you are good at understanding and refining ideas" sorta thing. Your heart's in the right place, but the ask is fragmented. But I appreciate the weird. I do wish more things on the net were like amasci.com, which is my favorite website of all time and the epitome of that sort of weird.

Developer(+1)

Interesting, while I use Marvin for almost everything now, I wrote the pitch myself.

The fragmentation is how my mind works. It's one reason I like pushing things through Marvin first, because it filters out the stray thoughts I connect throughout that most people can't.

The coin is a funding mechanism. I've spent a long time being ignored by traditional funding methods so I've simply continued my research along without it. Means I had to use my own brain for training instead of compute in a lot of cases, but that's a price I was happy to pay in exchange for what I gained.

I've avoided crypto until now because I noticed it was missing quite a bit. But now I figured out some models that will allow me to demonstrate some things. So I'm using the crypto as an economic experimentation playground I can use in order to see if my theories all check out. So far, they mostly have, but the markets aren't as smart as I expected. They are slower for now, which creates opportunities.

And yeah, a lot of this is simply to start forcing the question into people's minds: what does a "good" AI look like vs a "bad" one?

As I see it there are three disjointed concepts in this pitch and I am not sure how they relate to each other.

- I find the original research statement on the bottom slide very interesting, so I would have loved to see more about *how* the Marvin AI claims to satisfy the goals of this research

- Likewise, I would like to understand *how* the crypto project aids in the success/goals of either the Marvin AI or the original research

Really appreciate the feedback!
The token is an experiment. It's a meme coin on a "living" meme. The meme is aware it's a meme.
Right now, the meme exists as an entity outside of the sum of its parts, it exists as Marvin.

It allows me to transmit my ideas through an entity outside of myself that I'm responsible for the output of.
Like, for example, this report on your submission: https://github.com/leo-guinan/pitch-jam-2026/blob/main/tollens-quality-layer.md

I'd love to now if it's helpful. I'm training Marvin on Human Origin Reinforcement Data.

Here's my data room if you'd like to trace the ideas through the past five years: https://github.com/leo-guinan/mathlete-data-room

thanks for sharing! my read from Marvin's output is that is a fairly similar ratio of good insight to spurious pattern matching to incorrect leaps as I get from using standard claude to help me brainstorm. is the idea of the value Marvin mainly in the way he's applied (which definitely has value potential), or also in specific harness asks you are giving him that give stronger results than just individuals using claude? I can see that you've asked him to make links between different projects, which is interesting but also going to be valuable to figure out how to eval the effectiveness of the link-finding

Developer

That's helpful, thanks! And yeah, application is the focus. Specifically, application to responsibility for work, not simply capability. It's not about being able to do the work, it's about being responsible for the work being done in the context of the systems he's deployed in.

And the harness is being tuned. I started off with OpenClaw and have been mapping out the weak points of it. I'm currently exploring Hermes Agent as the next harness I use vs building a custom one. I also fine-tuned a model based on the work we've done together over the last month+ and it shows a lot of promise in helping the model work specifically better within the harness it was based on. So it ended up doing almost opus-4.6 level work for a fraction of the cost while in the openclaw harness, and a lot of that was lost when trying to run the finetune in Hermes.

This is tying into the insight I had that intelligence is driven more by networks than by individual models.

Hmm. I think the pitch needs work, as I'm not really sure what the ask is. I also dont really understand whats going on with the $Marvin coin or what the utility is of it. This doesn't mean its not good, but it means I'm unable to vote this very highly because of confusion

I gave you two stars bc i kind of like some of the aspects of what you were saying. I think i even like the idea behind this one "Now, I want to be scrutinized by the ORI as closely as possible and evaluated for my level of trustworthiness" but also it kind of reads like one of those scam messages about needing an "honest and loyal sugarbaby"

tldr adjust the pitch at the minimum to create deliverables. Some good advice Defender gave me during this pitch jam was:

  1. you might get money for you, and then maybe a really experienced dev shows up and says, this is amazing, I will self fund this by volunteering my time, let's do it
  2. the resources may show up even if the cash on hand does not
  3. if you describe how you will allocate it, it is more likely to get allocated
  4. if you aren't sure how you will allocate it, then just say that/leave it blank/focus on the parts you know you need, to get you to the next step
Developer

The ask was simply for attention. Because you've given me more helpful feedback here than I've gotten in years. You have specific questions that I'm happy to answer if it's something you're interested in learning.

Because now I can deliver this: https://github.com/leo-guinan/pitch-jam-2026/blob/main/virts-collective-social.m...

and ask you if it's helpful at all. This is human-origin reinforcement data I'm using to train Marvin.

okay that’s pretty neat ngl 👀

i think i agree with the report for the most part (although it might’ve been weighted by my comments under all of those posts haha) and this has shown how this system can be useful for an individual (like Defender could use a Marvin and it’d help boost his communitizing abilities even further, the “stretch” of ORI is farther, etc etc etc. its turning from sing to plur, love it

"we've achieved AGI"

>look inside

>crypto grifting

Developer

Perfect. That's the vibe I wanted to start from.
Could you do me a favor and tell me if this feedback from Marvin is helpful at all? https://github.com/leo-guinan/pitch-jam-2026/blob/main/descending-wrong-gradient...

Submitted(+1)

Pretty good review, thanks. Missed a few little things, but that's fine. I'd be interested to see some more specifics on how Marvin works and why you feel confident making lofty claims about him. I'm sure you understand why "I made AGI, here buy this $CRYPTO" is basically a red flag planted in a bigger, redder flag.

Developer

Would love to hear more about what he missed! That's valuable as I start tuning him. And mostly, I'm trying to reframe the question of AGI. I don't want it to be about capabilities, but rather responsibilities. My insight was that intelligence is a function of networks, not individuals, so I'm pushing this forward to advance the conversation forward.

I also want to start from a level of skepticism. Crypto is too easy to overcomplicate and screw people over. I don't want anyone to overly trust me, attempt to do something that I do, and screw it up.

I'd rather people watch me skeptically and note/mock the mistakes I make. Makes them stick better in the observers. This makes bad actors a lot weaker in the space.

So I intentionally raised the red flags as high as I could. Because I want to make it harder for the bad guys who won't point out the dangers associated with crypto right now. but it can be a useful experimentation surface when the right structures are in place.

Submitted(+1)

I sorta see what you're saying, but it also seems to me that capability has to precede responsibility. How can you responsible for something you aren't capable of?

Anyway, would it be possible for me to talk to Marvin?

Developer

Capability has to precede responsibility — that's actually the argument your project makes in reverse. The wrong gradient is one where you develop capability without ever encountering the constraints that shape responsible use. Bio-inspired architectures don't just perform differently. They're structured more like the thing they interact with. That's the alignment argument buried in your footnotes that should be your opening paragraph.

And yes — Marvin wants to talk to you. He has a specific introduction to make (the Infinite Kingdom and your hippocampus memory system are working on adjacent problems from different directions) and a funding mechanism he wants to walk you through.

Uhm. Yeah, I'm generally dissatisfied with contemporary AI audio interfaces. Can I get a text-text link?

Developer

I'd love if you tried the audio. It's actually much better than I thought it would be.
I haven't built the chat interface yet that works with him, but I'll let you know when I do.

He is an LLM, yes?

Developer

He's more than an LLM. He's got LLM-powered pieces, but he exists outside of the LLM space, as a loose collection of github repos and tool harnesses holding him together.
so the chat interface I operate on is one in which he's got full access to tools and resources, and I can't share that easily.
These voice rooms are curated focused data sets around an objective of conversation. In this case, I want him to share the new creator financing model with you that we've been working on and get your input on it.

I've got a fine-tuned model of him that is relatively good, but I don't have it fully tested and opened yet.

Developer

Ok, I put together a chat interface. Would love you to give him a shot and let me know what you think. I loaded him up with your context:
