๐Ÿ’ A small indie platformer inspired by rink hockey — and the dream of a young player.

Hi everyone!

My name is Raymond (also known as **TheRyCer**), and Iโ€™m currently developing a small indie game called El Viaje de Des (Des's Journey) .

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://therycer.itch.io/el-viaje-de-des

The game is a story-driven 2D action platformer inspired by arcade classics, where you play as Des, a young player fighting rival teams and powerful bosses on his journey to reach Europe.

But this project has a deeper story behind it.

My *13-year-old son plays rink hockey*, and one of the main reasons I started this project was to help share this amazing sport with more people around the world.

Outside of a few countries in Europe, many players have never even heard of rink hockey.

So this game is my way of helping introduce the sport through a fun platformer adventure.

The gameplay includes:

  •  Fast arcade-style combat
  •  Boss and superboss encounters
  •  Pattern-based enemy fights
  •  Stamina and charged attacks
  •  Power-ups that change combat style
  •  Story moments inspired by young athletes chasing big dreams

The game currently supports multiple languages:

  • Spanish
  • English
  • Portuguese
  • Italian
  • French

I'm actively improving the game based on player feedback.

The other day I stayed up late with feedbacks and sugestion (including the multi-language!), and Iโ€™d love to hear more ideas.

If you enjoy platformers, boss fights, or discovering unusual sports, Iโ€™d really appreciate it if you gave the game a try.

Even more important:

**I would love any kind of feedback.**

Gameplay feedback, Difficulty feedback, Ideas for bosses or mechanics, Visual feedback, Anything that could help improve the game

Even small comments help a lot.

If the game helps even a few players discover rink hockey, then this project is already a success.

Thank you so much for taking a look!
