Hi everyone,
Our indie team is currently developing a psychological horror dungeon crawler called Fearfobia, and we’re looking for one or two 2D pixel artists to help expand the art side of the project.
About the Game
Fearfobia is a psychological dungeon crawler where players explore rooms representing different phobias while managing a mental composure system instead of traditional health. The game focuses heavily on atmosphere, psychological tension, and surreal horror encounters.
Players navigate fear-based rooms, encounter monsters tied to phobias, interact with shady dealers offering pills, and attempt to survive long enough to escape.
Current Team
Our team currently consists of:
- Producer / Project Lead
- Technical Lead / Programmer
- Lead Artist
- Two Audio Designers / Composers
We’re already in early production, building gameplay systems, rooms, and core mechanics.
What We Need Most
We’re specifically looking for pixel artists who are comfortable with:
• Background / environment art (rooms, dungeon environments, props)
• Monster / creature design
• Menu or UI art
• Creative input when designing atmospheric horror environments
You would be working alongside our Lead Artist to help expand the world visually and maintain a consistent style.
Creativity is very welcome — we’re looking for artists who enjoy contributing ideas, not just executing tasks.
Compensation
At the moment this is a passion / portfolio project, so we unfortunately can’t offer upfront payment. If the game ends up generating revenue after release, we’re open to discussion.
We completely understand everyone has other commitments, so contributions are flexible.
Timeline
Our current goal is to build a playable version of the game within the next 2–3 months, focusing on a tight and polished experience.
