I like the theme and concept! The animation and effectiveness of the attack action seemed very inconsistent to me, so I couldn't really get into that mechanic. As such, I spent my time evading and dashing for the exit orb thing, which I found pretty fun as a mechanic on its own.

I really like the premise here! I found the controls to be pretty fluid, but had a lot of trouble defeating the enemies...could definitely be a skill issue, though! :-)

I recommend adding something to the background so that the player can tell when they're moving.

Keep at it - I think you're definitely on to something!

The idea is pretty nice, but the execution lacks in some places. The attack range is very small, which makes it very hard to hit enemies. Also, some sound effects would have really elevated the experience. Overall, good game!

I love the idea of this game so much!!!

The enemy pieces attacked too fast which made it tedious for me to land any hits in, especially with how small your attack range is. Still, I had fun learning the attack patterns of each of the pieces. I think you're onto a good idea with this game!

Very fun! It’d be fun to see all the pieces added, as well as some more varied levels, well done! I like seeing chess pieces implemented as enemies in other games, it’s fun to see their rules applied in different environments.

Interesting idea! It's fun figuring out how the attack works.
If you continue with it, I'd pick a different "skin" other than chess pieces. It could work because it's different but I think maybe another theme might draw in more players.

The idea fits really well to the theme. The controls feel amazing to play. Being able to dodge the chess pieces like a pro was not in my 2026 bucket list but here i am, having a lot of fun playing it.

I saw the "Developer Note" on Itch page, and i think you should go for it after the jam, polish and expand it. It's a cool idea.
