This is cute!

I really like the main character design, especially the running animation - it kinda looks like speedwalking! :-)

I also liked that you incorporated the control instructions into the background of the game.

I did encounter some bugs along the way... mostly getting stuck on the rock or the walls, but I still enjoyed playing!

I recommend changing the text color on the health bar to make it easier to read.

I like the artwork on the main character and the retro ninja platformer vibe. I wish I could play with a controller, I think I would've gotten further.

Believe it or not you are not the first person to wish to play with a controller 💀. I might have to add it to the game next time.

Really cool game, fighting is good, I love how enemies will "drop down" on the player from higher platforms, it adds a lot to engaging gameplay, art is incredible, good work

Thank you and I hope to be in your part 2 on your youtube 🙏!

I think the core concept is actually really cool  the ninja style and the boss were fun and interesting. There are some areas that could be improved, like the font (it would fit better if it matched the game’s style more) and the UI feels a bit inconsistent. Also, for sprites and animations, it might help to use references or 2D animation examples. It’s usually better not to stretch pixel art, and instead keep everything in the same resolution and pixel scale. But that’s just my opinion. Your game is definitely good  I spent quite a while playing it. I’m still a beginner myself, so I also have a lot to learn.

This idea has a lot of potential, to be honest! I found the way the ninja runs really funny. The enemies also seem like something different — it feels like the ninjas can easily break a mountain, but fighting enemies is another story.

I also like that the game includes some storytelling, and the tutorial section is well done. However, the controls don’t feel very good at the moment. The jumping, gravity, and the camera always locking onto the ninja make it a bit annoying when trying to jump.

Overall though, it’s still a very goofy and fun experience!

This was fun! The writing really had us on the edge of our seats, and the boss fight was really engaging with all the different mechanics you used! Can’t wait to see part 2 :D

Your game had me laughing in a good way. I like the story and art. The giant boss is pretty cool and I like the sticking to walls/wall jump mechanic. I dunno about giant poison ball. It's too hard to really dodge it. The controls and especially the fighting need a little work although I really did enjoy playing it.

Your game has good potential, but there were a few things that didn't let me enjoy the game as much as I wanted to. Starting off with the positives, the art is pretty good. While I'm not a fan of the stretched-out pixel art in some places, the charming custom sprite work and good use of color makes your game look pretty decent overall. The music choices are also good, although there were a few parts where music is suspiciously absent. Some preplaced music spots would be a good fix. However the biggest gripe for me was the gameplay. The sword and magic attack only worked some of the time. And I found killing enemies to be pointless since there's no reward for it, so I just fled from them all. The QTE at the end of the Anako fight is way too harsh as well - I wasn't able to get past it after multiple attempts.
