  • Very interesting take on an incremental game! Loved how you can upgrade the building and the graphics although simple, work super well and is quite satisfying! Would love to see this game in a store after the jam!
  • I've never had this much fun (and frustration) while controlling an elevator!
  • The idea was really cool! Would have loved to have some more upgrades and a closer camera.

Developer

The game is getting a release on AppStore and Google Play. Under the name "Elevator Operator" (due to a trade mark on "elevate")

It is now up on Google Play and hopefully in a few days also on App Store.

Known bug:
1. Play the game with gamepad
2. Complete the tutorial steps until the headline says "Get your reward"
3. Press B button to open menu
4. Press D-pad down to select Tech tree button
5. Press A to activate the tech tree.

Due to a bug, pressing A here also activates the Skip-button in the tutorial window below. This causes you to get the upgrade automatically and cannot complete the steps of selecting the upgrade and buying it.

I am sorry this slipped through as it is a bit confusing.

Work around:
For part of the tutorial, in step 4-5 above use your mouse to click the "Tech tree" button in the menu, and also use your mouse to click the upgrade to get and on Buy button.

Later on in the game you totally can use the Gamepad to navigate all menus including buying upgrades using d-pad and A button. (with the exception of the settings window due to it being used to configure the gamepad bindings)

I will make a post-jam update to fix this, but due to judging embargo, just making a note here what is going on.

Seemed quite minimalist at first but I really enjoyed to play! Nice evolving game!

Thank you for the warm words.

I lost a ton of time playing around with this one. This idea is cool in its simplicity! Easy to learn yet super engaging. :)

Thank you for the feedback. I sure lost some time to this game during development. 😂 Just wanted to help the virtual people out. So kinda knew the game could hook you but was afraid players would not get past the initial confusion on how to learn to play the game and understanding its mechanics. Or be too frustrated by the elevator controls.
