This game's sfx, vfx, animations are pure art.
Love the artistic direction, the game looks good
Great game! It is very well polished. The animations, SFX, VFX, everything. I didnt really know what i was doing lol. Tho a few minutes in it crashed.
Same story as your one sadly... :(
"I thought I fixed that bug" -ImNotL probably (he did the coding)
I really liked the animations and the VFX, like card highlighting, card outline, etc.
SFX are scrumptious.
I have no clue how to play poker, but my Balatro experience helped me to get back half the frozen funds (if I understood correctly). The game froze right before I had to select the best hand for the second round.
Most of the time, I had more cards than my opponent; I'm not sure if that's intended. The game let me drop just one card instead of two sometimes.
I think I would've enjoyed the game more if I understood what on earth I was supposed to be doing, though.
I tried both the jam version and the post-jam version, and both had the issue.
Sadly when i download the game and extract the files and then try to play it, it just shows a blank command prompt window, I hope this bug gets fixed
To anyone wanting to try my game: I've released a minor "post-jam" bug-fix that might be slightly more playable if you want to enjoy the game.
Very interesting game. I didn't expect to be playing this for almost a half an hour lol. Honestly, the game very engaging. Sadly I was not able to fully thaw out my frozen funds due to the game crashing. I think it caused by the fact that I was holding onto way too many cards. I really enjoy the visuals though, the background and the pixelated graphics gives me a bit of balatro vibes, i really dig it. Overall, this is some really good stuff, great job!
Sorry to hear the game crashed... We were quite pressed for time toward the end so when it came to submission time I couldn't fully playtest it :/
