This was a cute game concept! I think it definitely has potential.
As a player, I had a hard time figuring out what the conditions needed to be met to not lose. I just tried my best to keep the bear from attacking, but boy is he ruthless! I tried to make a barricade to keep him away from the villagers but he always found a way to attack! (I'm sure this could be remedied by building a house but I never had enough resources. haha)
Keep up the good work!

Nice work!
Good setting and execution. The gameplay is done well. Some sound effects would have lifted the experience. Also, needs a bit of polish but I know game jams are really tiring. My first game jam game (a platformer) had a single level. You have a great start, keep it up!
This is very good for the first game! The polishing maybe not too good right now, but you got a solid idea in mind and i think you should work on it. Good luck on your gamedev journey!
Great start, and welcome to game dev! You did a good job :) Some additional clarity on what does what would go a long way, even if it's just notes on the itch page (I know how hard it is to get everything you'd like in before the jam deadline!) I wasn't too sure what to do to prevent my entire village getting slaughtered by the bear, but dragging things onto the field is working well and it's fun to watch my little guys roam around and gather the things I place for them :)
Edit: I had an idea, so I came back and made sure to lead my villagers away from the bear by placing materials near them, and managed to beat it 😉
Cool idea, and nice selection of assets so far. I like the core game play element of dragging stuff to the screen to build out the world and help my villagers. Keep iterating on that to see what feels fun and engaging. I seem to be quite adept at getting all of my villagers eaten by the bear in about 20s lol, that in itself was entertaining :D. A little bit of audio -- even just placeholder stuff-- can make it feel a little more engaging and polished. It's a great start for your first game, keep at it!
The asset choices are solid, and for a first game you've made a lot of progress. The only thing I wished for was more engaging gameplay. I didn't quite understand what each of the resources were used for, and it didn't end up mattering since just spamming them was enough to let me win. There was also some leftover debug text like "day_started," but that's nothing a small patch can't fix. Don't let anything I'm saying dissuade you though. The fact you made anything at all is impressive, and with every small game you make, you learn a little more. Be proud of your game! :D
The game is so cute! I love the choice of assets. I couldn't exactly figure out the best strategy for planting. I plan to try it again to see if I can figure it out better. Maybe add some tips to the landing page.
And after the game jam you should definitely update it with audio.
