This game was incredibly well done!
I really liked the opening art + story. It did a great job of setting the stage!
The little rover was too cute! I had a lot of fun exploring and making discoveries on the planet and the battery charging mini-game was a really nice add, too!
I did get stuck when it came time to upgrade my equipment. I could not figure out which key to press to select the upgrade. Eventually I figured out that it was left-click, but this wasn't very intuitive for me, especially since everything else involved the keyboard. (I played the browser version, by the way.) Once I figured that out, everything else was smooth sailing. Very fun!
This is pretty nice! A lot of polish and very fun. I think the recharge mini game is not for me though, especially after upgrading the battery capacity.
This is amazing! I really enjoyed playing through the entire thing. The artwork, music, sound effects, and theme are fantastically done and show a lot of polish. The story text in the intro could use a smidge of editing/cleanup, but the substance is great.
One aspect that could use a slight adjustment: Allow the player to continue scanning if they haven't dismissed a previous scan's message. It took me a bit to realize I was skipping past scannable targets because I hadn't dismissed the old message yet.
the art is INCREDIBLE, I glazed your opening shots for several minutes, insane art. Gameplay wise - appears to have a lot of depth. It's not my type of game, but I tried to experience all I could. The battery minigame is very fun. Overall, incredible art, well done
Game is from 08:09
Nice adventure and cute pixel art! The recharge minigame becomes a biiit annoying over time, but overall I enjoyied it a lot
Thanks so much yaaay!!!
So cute! Absolutely loved the exploring outwards and finding new things on the planet, and watching my friendly takeover grass grow. The wraparound effect was super nifty. Also appreciated the free cheese!
So glad you liked it! Enjoy the cheese!! (I completely forgot to disable the button animation when the quit button gets replaced with the cheese button on web haha)
Oh man! It's just the perfect 5 out of 5. The game has interesting story line, great purpose for end game, cute art style and i got to say the collecting-the-battery mini game is just a great touch. It's going straight up into one of my collection. This will not just only go in the top 3 but a hard best one of this jam, believe me. Thank you for this work of art for the jam!
Thank you so much!!! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed it that much, it means a lot!
if this not top 3 then idk what is
I not played every game in this game jam yet, but I can tell that this game can make under the top 3! Its that good!
This was such a cute game! The visuals and music were top-notch from beginning to end, especially in the opening cutscene! Speaking of, I love all the detailed lore you include in the opening cutscene and flavor text, it really exudes passion and I love it for that. The gameplay was simple to get into and pleasant throughout once I got my bearings. I loved the satisfaction of slowly terraforming the whole planet area by area. My only complaint in this regard is that the recharge minigame got a little tedious towards the end, since it just boils down to waiting for the stars to align. I also had a few pretty bad stutters my first few minutes in the game, and the lens distortion along the edges of screen made me a little nauseous when I was first playing. But I won't let that distract from the fact I had a great time. This is one of my favorite games in the jam so far, and y'all should be proud! :D
Thank you so much!! We’re really happy you’ve enjoyed it!! Sorry to hear that the shader effect made you nauseous, we’ll be sure to add an option to disable it next time haha thank you so much!!!
This is really great! I love the cute robot and all the art. And the music and audio is nice too. I terraformed Ceres!
My 2 small critiques are dismissing the messages by hand can be a pain. Maybe they could fade away after 5 or 6 seconds if you leave the area. The battery recharging minigame is stressful! I was okay at it but it was a bit tedious. And then getting the upgrade meant more energy to herd.
Also I didn't realize how the upgrade system worked and once I figured it out I had all the resources to fully upgrade. That's probably part on me but it probably should play out like that.
This is a really good game especially for such a short time frame!
Glad you liked it!! The scan and dialogue UIs were my biggest gripe getting it finished, definitely wish I could’ve implemented them a little more cleanly! Thanks for playing!
