The art is really pretty. The background gives it a lot of charm. Puzzle were well done. Good job!
This was a really really fun game! Genuinely one of the most impressive game jam games I've ever seen! To have done all of this in 9 days is awesome. Lots of content, and the puzzles overall were fun. The bits I liked were:
- Artstyle & cutscenes
- Speedrun timer is a great addition
- Controls were intuitive
- Puzzles were a good difficulty
- Felt like a cohesive full game experience (which is probably the most difficult thing to do in a game jam!)
Some point for improvement would be:
- The black tutorial text was hard to read when it was on a dark background: you could use a white outline to help - or make sure to always have the text on a white background (e.g. it could be placed within the level itself)
- It felt unintuitive that the player couldn't push the objects (even just a little bit) - it took me a while to understand how the physics worked (e.g. that most objects can be moved, just only by the drawings)
- The game window felt a bit cramped and some of the tutorialisation bits happened off screen (e.g. the first roll-the-circle-down-the-hill puzzle)
Sorry thats a lot of text! Its a really really really good game I just wanted to point out some simple ways it could feel even more amazing to play :) But they are very small points really. This is (easily) one of my favourite entries this jam :) Well done on such an amazing game!
It was challenging, but I really enjoyed working through the puzzles. I did get stuck at times, but it still felt rewarding to keep going. The concept of creating shapes to solve puzzles is a great idea and adds a lot to the experience.
Very beautiful game. Loved a lot of the puzzles.. The last two I was not a fan of because the triangle that I had just acquired didn't really do anything. The last 2 puzzles after getting the triangle were just velocity jumps which was kind of a let down for a climax. Some of the other areas were very creative and I enjoyed it a lot. Relaxing, and just difficult enough. I think this game might win the whole thing! A little weak on the "theft" theme tho, not a big deal. Great game.
Wasn't working on my end, the fullscreen resulted in 1/4 of the size of the screen for the viewport, and upon moving the sprite was becoming a black rectangle :( I don't see this reported in the comments so I'm assuming it's the browser / device combo I'm using (Vivaldi on an Android tablet - but it's very high end and the other games run just fine)
it was hard but I had fun trying to beat all the puzzle's even though I got stuck at some point, great job I really like the idea of being able to create shapes to do puzzles
Such neat visuals, and great game idea! Found some interesting usages of this mechanic in this game. Well done!
Such an awesome idea. I really loved the concept behind this one. I found myself getting stuck underneath the shapes pretty often and having to retry which felt a little punishing at times. I think allowing the player to draw a new shape while being crushed would solve this though! The art and sound were very polished. Great work!!
Super cute! I love the overall aesthetic, and the gameplay was very cool. It kind of reminded me of Little Big Planet! My feedback would be that it was sometimes hard to tell what I could jump on and what was in the background. Maybe having a visual difference between the assets would help.
It's a great game! The animations are cute and communicate the actions well. I couldn't finish it, though. But overall, it's a solid game.
One of my favorite games ive played so far! The art is amazing and very adorable / memorable! That opening cutscene really sets the cozy vibe. Aswell as the music setting the tone. The parallax background makes it really feel like your exploring this room as a mouse. I expesially love the level where you have to push the bus! I wasnt able to get passed the first yellow crayon level? As no matter how many times I stacked those 3 shapes I could not make it across lol. I kid you not spent like 20 minutes trying over and over! I do think this is the biggest problem with the game. The solutions can be a little obscure aswell as what has solid collision, whats a drop down platform, and what will trigger activity on the rigid bodies versus what will be unaffected by your blue wrecking ball. Im not sure how this could be remedied but still very engaging! Also the controls felt a little difficult. I guess you gotta disable controls or else people would spawn shapes and then jump on them mid air. But made it feel a little clunky in a few spots. Overall I could easily see this becoming a professional release. Super clean work and relates well to the jam!
Also if you have time would love to hear your thoughts on our entry but keep up the great work! Expesially if this is your first jam your doing holistically with all aspects
Very fun! And very cute :3 I love the aesthetics, fantastic work! The gameplay idea is also great. The puzzles around the geometric pieces are well designed. At one point near the end, I thought I was softlocked because the toy truck got stuck against a wall, but I was able to push it using the triangle and the circle to reach the cookie jar. Congrats on the entry!
Rating this game But i LOVE the visuals and how its crayon drawn. I got stuck very early on like physically cant move but other than that it was a blast i just restarted
Its been some time since I've seen a game about make your path with drawings. When I first seen it I was exited to play but I got stuck in the clock part, I don't know where to go! 😢 Congrats on the entry!
Love the art, you nailed the crayon card, i got stuck on that part that you need to place a circle in the edge of a book to jump on stack of books, would be more magical if it had some sounds.
