Cool game, I like how original it feels. The controls could be smoother though. I had to click for every shot, it would be nicer to just hold left click to fire.

Developer

Thanks for playing Pookie Games !! And thanks for letting me know about how the controls could be smoother. Seems like holding to shoot should have been the way to go for this game.

The sound track is fire,I dont reall mind clicking to shoot, but i think it would be helpful if we could see our healthbar and got more visual feedback when our bullets make contact with the enemy maybe make them blink red, also you could more animations to the mummies . overall a good game, if you have time you could check my game :):/jam/godot-wild-jam-91/rate/4407358

Thanks Daryuner !! I also think the sound track is an absolute banger. Good feedback too. I agree visual feedback is important in games as well as nice animations. I'll try to focus more on visuals next time and work on my art skills. I do want to get better at drawing. I appreciate the feedback Daryuner and ill be sure to check out your game !!

Aside from the shooting part mentioned by others, the purple/magenta projectiles are a bit hard to see. I do like that the bullets have a small knockback effect. I would also suggest not displaying the buffs and debuffs when opening chests, it could make the surprises more fun. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback LivingDood !! Youre right i should have made the projectiles a bit easier to see. I was thinking about making custom bullets for the player and enemies but i ran out of time so i just used rectangles. And good idea not displaying the buffs/debuffs. I can see how that can be funny too haha

It is kind of frustrating to have to click each time you shoot. It was also sometimes not obvious what is a wall and what isn't ^^

Thanks for playing !! I'll keep the clicking in mind next time and try to make the walls more obvious. I only used 4 tiles and the walls were the tan ones. Thanks for pointing that out and playing Agrumul !!

Interesting game! I like the uniqueness. In controls i had to click for every shot, would be cool if i could just hold leftclick to shoot

Developer

Thanks for playing !! And good suggestion. Holding left click could definitely make it more convenient. Thanks justdezt
