I really like these tunes! My favorite is The Cat that Lived in Baghdad (first song). It is super cheerful and uplifting.
I don't know if its an issue on my end (because I havent seen anyone else mention it), but I noticed what sounds like clipping in the Cat that Trod Chillfully. Totally could be nothing but maybe worth checking out.
thanks for checking it out!!! yeah i noticed the clipping too, it happens randomly. might be something to do with the scritch player because the file itself is fine but idk
The chords that the second song uses feel really similar to a song i made. meaning its completely perfect and i wouldn't change a thing. and 3/4 can feel quite similar to 5/4 so it makes sense.
*blatent self promo aside this is the song im refering to:
yoooo holy shit I remember you, you posted that song in the server and we talked about it, fire stuff my guy fire emoji fire emoji
I remember you too lol, when i saw the name attached to that ep i knew it had to be you
so fitting to the theme you forget about it and won't turn it off and it will keep playing forever until you realize it (and by then it's too late)
Your sound choice is just fantastic! That brass in the first track gives me huge Touhou vibes, the leads are really well composed, and I love how adventurous and pirate-y the second track sounds! All those dinging percussion sounds are really nice and contrast the more mid-frequency focused points of the tracks quite nicely, overall well done my dude! fantastic job :D
The first track reminded me kind of Harvey Volodarskiis theme from No More Heroes:https://youtu.be/kcNqjp3cU5s?si=F1hWGsqmGuKrAUOn . Feels like theres a closer comparison but i dont remeber it.
The second and third tracks were my favorites.
The third one sounded like Sad Forest Drum from Klonoa:https://youtu.be/LT6HgVz5M2M?si=1N7xL0Y0H6-f8j5s
i have never heard of these two at all :sob: epic new discovery for me
the first track is not inspired by anything, completely made with the "random shit, go!" method. second track was also made without a reference but it turned out it sounded kinda leaning towards "lullaby of a deserted hell" from touhou 11, and third track is basically "Tomboyish girl in love" from touhou 6
Awesome! Always happy to introduce people to obscure stuff
I thought the second one sounded kind of medievil, ive never played Touhou myself but i kind of know what it is. I know its like a bullet hell shoot em upp series but i know non of the music. Maybe Bad Apple if thats Touhou?
So i mightve missed references to the tracks
Touhou music is unique, idk how to describe it but like, its known to have lots of layered instruments, they're also mostly fast paced.
also Bad Apple is a fanmade song by alstromeria records from ZUN's touhou 2's bad apple :>
Really awesome tracks! Cirno's theme caught me off guard lol (one of the only few Touhou songs I know, it reminded me I've gotta play Touhou someday)
Feels like ive seen this character before, who is it?
cat hitting the:

oh my goodness gracious its almost 100% accurate
Help I though you did it on purpose lmaooooo
Pretty cool Pretty cool
very nice motif in the first one carried over to the guitar in the third! also good use of the vibraslap
catpipes from baghdad 🐈🏜️🕋
very interesting submission, good job!
Loved the bounciness of the first track, very fun to listen to!!!
I really love a good jazzy organ sound, just a good sound to vibe to.
Nice work!
I really like the instruments here for all three songs. The first song (The Cat That Lived in Baghdad) might be a bit too energetic but its also my favorite out of the three!
Overall all of the songs here have good vibes and I really liked them! Good job! 🔥
good stuff mate, good stuff
Loved the first track, really fun!
Reminds me of a very specific game on roblox called lore game. Amazing work!
Nice steady rhythm!
Story telling music is so beautiful, Poetry through song with no words, I also get feint frieren vibes from the second track, it all works together and is very pretty! Great job
I don't quite know how to describe it, but the whole album has a very familiar quality to it. The second song in particular is very reminiscent of Scarborough Fair, and I think ties together all of the songs quite nicely.
The three songs together really do tell a vivid story, very cool!
ts so groovy. #1 is my fav
