Classic but effective!
It's just a shame there's no sound or menu.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. Indeed it needs sound. I’ll try adding it eventually after the jam.

Fun concept with a great art style. Everything is timed just on point, it’s well done.

It would have been great to have checkpoints, as there is a lot of doors, so a lot of places to check, when you get captured, you need to redo a lot. Maybe divide the one big building into smaller ones, where you could add new mechanics, new things that can detect you with different movement patterns. Also sounds would have been nice to have.

Good job on your submission!

First, thanks for playing and for the feedback.

Those are indeed great suggestions. At first I thought into making one color rescued per building and I guess you’re right that you’d be better and with a sense of progression.

Thanks again :)

I had fun with your game :) Sneaky under the cameras and timing the movement is great. Also standing on the near corner of the door just to get passed quickly. Nice to have that freedom.

Good job!

Developer

I’m happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing.

Timing puzzles were fun.  I'm not sure if it was just me since no one else has mentioned it in the comments, but when I played the web build the security bots were stuck in one place and their radar wasn't detecting me when I moved passed them.

Developer

:O

I didn’t see it happening before. It was every time or in a specific spot?

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah every time, they seem to get stuck at either end of the hallway.

Just booted up the game again and it's still occurring, so resetting/refreshing the page doesn't really help.

I'm on Arc browser which is basically Chrome if that helps.

Developer

That’s interesting. I don’t remember seeing it neither hearing about it. I’ll try to reproduce. Thank you, I appreciate it!

Developer

Another question: Which OS?

Submitted(+1)

It was on MacOS, just tried in Safari though and didn't seem to have the issue, so it's probably browser based.
Also the screenshot doesn't show this, but during gameplay the bots are moving left one frame and then right the next, which makes it look like they're facing both directions at the same time, so it could be related to the way that movement is handled.

Hope this helps!

Developer

I couldn’t reproduce then getting stuck yet, but they not detecting a fellow developer helped identifying that it happens when the bot is approached from behind. Another bug to the list :D

This ended up being way more fun than I thought it would be, every floor felt like a new more challenging timing puzzle. It took me about 4 tries and I finally got through the whole thing.

I'm not sure if the game might have a memory leak but the longer I was playing the game would start to lag a bit, especially if I was hiding behind a door for too long.

Nice work.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feed back.

I’ll check and see what I can figure about this possible leak :).

checkpoints would have been really nice, and some sound too, but overall i love the idea, keep it up

Developer

Indeed. Planning on adding checkpoints and some sound after the jam! Thanks for playing!

Great game,I like the art style, the controls are responsive and the collisions of the enemies are very accurate.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the comment :)

I like the title screen made with chalk! I'm curious about how you did it. I almost got the second color but lost, and it took me back to start. Maybe a checkpoint when you get one color would be nice. Congrats on the entry!

Developer

Yeah! I received an offline feedback about checkpoints too. It’s a good addition.

Thanks for playing!

Nice work, I like the idea behind the theme!

Developer

:)

Thanks for playing!

I love that chalky art style, I don't think I've seen that in a game before :) I noticed some of the symbols didn't show up in your text. I had the same problem a couple game jams ago. Not sure if you know this, but when you import your font, you can choose a fallback font that will fill in if you have a missing symbol. Just FYI :) Really nice job on this one!

Developer

Yeah, I just realized my font didn’t support numbers too late. Unfortunately I had to do a last minute export for this jam. On Desktop builds it’s falling back automatically.

Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll fix it as soon as uploads are open again.

Cool mix of puzzle and timing. I was confused on why I wouldn't just take the elevator all the way up at first, until I realized I needed to look in the doors. Well done! Thanks for making and sharing it :)

Developer

Thanks for playing :)
