I'll third the motion to polish up the momentum and movement mechanics. It does feel like there's something fun here, a game where you have to build up momentum to be able to do damage, but it needs better tools to maintain that momentum.

The movement and physics could use some work, sometimes you’re stopped dead in your tracks for seemingly no reason, and momentum doesn’t carry over. Cool premise, controls just need dialing in.

The interlacing on the background is also quite difficult to look at after some time, but the art style is very charming.

Love the title screen and ending art, really funny. Rolling down slopes is really fun, but the jumping is kind of milquetoast. If you can find a way to tie them together you can probably add some depth to the gameplay (Example: Rolling really fast and jumping can help you clear large pits. Or maybe if you switch to rolling while mid-jump you could do a special attack. Maybe some enemies need roll attacks and some need jump attacks?) Maybe add some hit sounds on the enemies, or if you’re feeling really fancy try adding some small screen shake. Good work :)

Thank you! That was the initial plan, to roll up ramps and make sick jumps. The issue is it turns out coding fun physics is harder than I expected, so we have the half-measure you see here.
