Notes from gameplay:

  • Nice main menu. Clean fonts, nice text shadow, love the scrolling background!
  • Music is chill and calming
  • Interesting concept of putting the instructions on a bulletin board! It's a bit tricky to read all the text and walk just the right way to get it in frame
  • The top down view is really awesome! Reminds me kinda of sim city + a kid's toy car mat, gives a very nostalgic vibe
  • Oh my, why are so many guns being shot?
  • The lighting is gorgeous, I love how the shadows move as the day goes on
  • Well done adding sound effects to each event, though the crime one might be a bit loud
  • Had to restart the game because I forgot the controls
  • Hmm maybe the day should pause when the upgrade menu is opened?
  • Oops, I have negative money (upgrades don't seem to check for if I can afford them)
  • Uh oh, pressing tab while the upgrade shop is open leaves you trapped, have to press e again to gain mouse functionality to leave the shop

Interesting concept. I really loved the lighting in particular, so pretty!

Unfortunately, the itch sandbox is saying no compatible downloads are found :(

I don't know how I got in $300 worth of debt. 😭

I loved the cozy background music and the traffic simulation of the scene. It looked gorgeous from the top down perspective. Great job on the game!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game :>

Nice concept with the city management mechanics and buying upgrades. That’s a strong point. The menu music is relaxing, and the sound effects are really good. They match each incident that happens in the city very well. It’s a fun game overall. Really good, honestly very good.

Interesting concept, the low poly topview of the city is nice and relaxing...until some many shootings appear in my city? I clicked on bubbles multiple times, but didn't understand how to upgrade (so many buttons!).

Also, the controls are a pain, in the bedroom, the player is moving way to fast, makes it difficult to read the signs.

Maybe it's because I wasn't able to upgrade, but I didn't see the sustainable aspect of the game.

Anyway, congrats for the jam!
