That’s a cool idea. Art is awesome and I liked the unlock puzzles.

The ‘cursed’ items debuffing the player was a good addition. For a moment I thought there was a bug until I realized I was ‘confused’ :D

A couple of things that looks like issues tho:

  • I made a mistake and woke up one of the dogs. Although it followed me for two rooms, nothing happend. I was expecting a game over there;
  • It looks like that even overweight you can steal everything, of course, a lot slower, but looks doable;

Thanks for the feedback! The dog AI is a bit messy, so it's likely I missed something that caused that bug. As for the overweight debuff, items don't actually have any weight; certain items just have a chance to grant the debuff if you pick them up. A weight system would have been neat, though.

So cool!

I really love the idea of different items having different effects, and having to plan around that, well done.

The art style was cute, though the game would have been more appealing with more elements, mainly different rooms having different colors and layouts, and there being some sort of background instead of a gray void.

Of course, I know this is due to the time constraints of the jam. It's very good for what it is!

I am not sure if it is intended that I make less noise if I repeatedly spam the walking buttons, or if it's an intended feature. Still, very fun!

Good job!

Thank you for your feedback! We had a few other mechanics planned that we would have loved to implement, but the classic game jam time constraint got to us (we had to leave the level design for the last day in fact). Also, we were aware of the spam technique for reducing noise, but we couldn't address it in time. The best we could do was to add "walking" with shift. I find the spamming quite silly though 😅.

I like the idea! The controls were a little weird and I was confused about the arrow combinations to open doors, at first I thought I had to remember them, it took me a couple tries to realized I had to press them in time, also they were a little hard to see with the dark background. I think this game has a lot of potential and would love to play more!

Thanks for the feedback! We definitely could have done a better job communicating what to do for the quick time events in-game.

Didn't manage to get very far, but I like the concept. Also, good visuals/audio.

Good game ! I almost got all the loot, but I couldn't figure out how to jump over a pit without waking up the dog on the other side. I got 7715 !

- The sound / detection system works well and the visual feedback is makes it easy to understand.

- The graphics and sound design are very pleasing.

- The debuff system is quite fun ! I discovered late in the game that I could cleanse them by going back at the entrance, so I did most of my run with all debuffs on.

I stumbled upon some bugs :

- When having the "confusion" debuff that inverses your controls, the jump direction is not reversed, so it's pretty impossible to jump over pits.

- The music stopped playing after a while.

Overall, very good game !

Thank you very much for the feedback! We discovered both the confusion and the music bugs right before the submission deadline and couldn't fix it in time unfortunately. And I agree that we definitely could have communicated the debuff removal mechanic much better.
