The art style is awesome, and the game is even funny: the French accent, the way the character walks, especially during chases, and I was curious to see what meme would pop up instead of the stolen paintings. It's really cool.
Thanks! We're lucky our composer is a really funny VA as well haha.
For a short and casual but fun game, you did very well! Nice art, great voice acting, and a story to tie it all together. I enjoyed this one thoroughly.
Great work!
Overall, it was a fun time! The art, music, and voice acting weren't taken too seriously, and you obviously had fun with it. My main critique would be that there was no reason to not just wait for the perfect timing. A timer or something to put a limit on how long you can sit and wait would greatly increase the stakes and experience.
That's something we didn't consider, we wanted a more casual and funny experience but some incentive wouldn't have hurt. Thank you for playing our game!
This game genuinely made me laugh. The story, the art, the music, the voice acting; They were all magnifique!
I think a few small changes would have increased the immersion and overall polish immensely. In particular, slower mouse sensitivity, a more in-style exit door and target movement location, and perhaps using shuffle bag randomness to prevent Jacques from saying the same line twice in a row. But all of that didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying it!
I really liked this game. One of the best jam submissions I've played in a while. Hats off to the developers!
Thank you for playing! I appreciate the feedback and I was already considering shuffling the sound effects instead of randomly selecting them, I'll keep that in mind for the next jam.
My favorite submission so far - it's simple, short, fits perfectly the theme and wildcard... and most importantly hilarious ^^ The only small problem was that it was sometimes hard to click on objects while the scene was scrolling. Bravo!
That's high praise, thank you so much for playing!
Great Stuff, nice loop that fits the theme and I like the simple yet nice controls! Nice vibe from it all like the animations, sfx and the art switch is cool. yeah really cool jam game here nice & simple loop, fits the theme and refined on that to make a cool short but unique experience!
Thanks !
Your artist did a great job making the characters ooze personality. The sneaking animation. And the peeking from behind things was great. Aswell as the posture of the guards. The Music and SFX also had really good cohesion. The mime was also a memorable choice of mascot. I also loved how you also used real fine art! I do think the pace could have been slightly faster but was no bugs and gameplay was very clear and digestible. Keep up the good work!
Thank you !
Thank you for playing! The characters are actually hand drawn in my sketchbook and scanned
I really love the artstyle! Gives it a cool charm.
Also these quotes are fitting. Surely the guards will not smell the smoke passing them lol
“I have no more cigarettes” “Good artists borrow, great artists steal. I do both.”
Great work!
The guards a clueless to the true creative process unveiling under their noses !
