Cool mechanic and I love the mainframes and sounds
Cool, liked the quit button mechanism, though I accidentally triggered it the first time. Nice set dressing as well. Gameplay concept definitely can work too, with more.. time, of course.
I am personally fine with smooth movement; though thinking about how it's kind of hard to build a little settings menu just to support different movement/turning styles, feels like it'd be nice to have some global way for OpenXR users to specify their locomotion preferences to games. Sort of like the 'prefer-color-scheme' dark/light in web browsers.
Really love the concept and polish that went into this, would love to play more! although the smooth locomotion made me a bit motion sick
Great game, I really liked the concept and its whole setup to the actual gameplay. The time rewinding mechanic, as well as the pausing/forwarding was well done and worked really well with the simulated physics that you implemented in the game with the balls and AC units. Combining that idea with a sort of platformer was pretty neat as the “platforms” would be placed differently depending on what time you rewinded to and paused at. Good job!
Thank you for playing! In the future I need to add more levels and goals, as I realize that my entry is slacking in the gameplay department.
Forgot to mention it in the recording but the voice acting was great! Sounds for the ball and air conditioners would be a nice addition.
Thank you for playing! Getting to see you play was really helpful. I've built this interaction framework from the ground up as a personal goal, so the notes on smooth turning and the crouch smoothing are very insightful.
I should definitely add more interaction sounds. I was having so much fun jamming that I kind of neglected the game part.
Great concept! I loved the environment and sound in the opening area. I think it would have a little better if it were somewhat clearer what was interactable, and if there were proper hands. But the time rewind challenge worked great and I even cleaned up all the static spheres (I'm always extra happy when I can complete a game :-)). Nice writing and voice acting as well. Great job!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
I was struggling to think of what the hands should look like in context to the rest of the environment. Originally, they were going to be old fashioned remotes, but I ran out of time (ironically), so the default debug capsules stayed.

I'm having trouble installing this on my Quest 3 - I keep getting this error:
adb: failed to install NeuroCorp Training Demo.apk: Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES: Failed to collect certificates from /data/app/vmdl583560254.tmp/base.apk: Attempt to get length of null array]
I'll try the Windows version later, the next time I reboot into Windows
I have uploaded a newer version that fixes the APK. That was not present in my previous entry but must have slipped past when I recently updated it. Thank you for letting me know!
Are you sure you uploaded a new version? I just re-downloaded and I'm still having the issue. And it stills say "2 hours ago" for the upload time by both the APK and Windows build
My apologies it seems that I forgot to check a box. Tested it this morning and it is working now.
Thanks, it's working for me now!
It felt long to actually get into the gameplay phase, I understand you wanted to give some context but the game could still work without. Nice graphics and introduction object manipulation.
That time control idea in relation to a climbing challenge was very clever and original. I think with bugfixes, it has some potential as a climbing game.
I kept getting my arm stuck under the boxes, also the boxes collision would need some work.
Anyway congratulations for an original and overall well done entry !
Thank you for the feedback! There was originally going to be some extra functionality to the interface, but I scrapped that idea due to time. Based on your feedback it is now a SKIP button that will allow you to skip the dialogue and get straight into the challenge.
