Pretty good start, I would advice tinkering with the camera control next. You really have a good learning project here, so nice to see.

Developer

you think so? I really like rob and this was more so me learning 3d. But I'd like to give rob his own FULL game someday

Really impressive to see a 3D platformer made in such a short time. I personally tend to get motion sickness with 3D games, so I wasn’t able to play for very long, but it looks very well put together.

Massive respect for 3D and I dig the robot / computer / "virus" theming. The inverted camera took a second to get used to but I think this is cute!

Thanks I've had Rob in my head for awhile and couldn't decide what to do with him. And figured I'd give him a small spotlight in the game jam for funsies. I am considering making him his own FULL game but I'm not sure where it'll lead

It's got charm but I got thrown by the inverted camera. I'm just not navite to it xD. There is a fun platromer here with a fully working game loop. Using 3D in godot it nice and I should try it some time. Well done.

Thanks! I've barely dabbled in 3d but this character has been in my head for AGES. I've no clue what I'll be doing with him in the future

Seems good for things like a crash bandicoot clone maybe? That running forward angle with platformer elements could be fun.

Developer

thanks! And I took HEAVY inspiration from Mario 64 and banjo Kazooie though I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t some  from crash and Spyro.

Respect for doing 3D in a jam. The "clouds" level sometimes makes it hard to see where the edges of platforms are, could use some clearer edges there color/texture wise. But, overall, a good job on making a fully playable 3D game!

Developer

thanks! And yeah I noticed that while playtesting and never got around to fixing that issue 😅. It was my first time messing with 3d to this degree so it was definitely an experience
