It was fun, one moment of distraction and all my flowers died, it would be nice to have some kind of score to how far you can get.
I do really like the art. I think with some randomization of the soil and a clear goal this could turn into a really fun clicker!
I love your pixel art and animations! Hope you get to work more on this one after the jam is over though, since the current build is a bit lacking beyond the basic game loop.
End game conditions like timer or game over when all flowers wither would be nice. And score.
Very cute game :) The gameplay is simple but I didn't wanna stop because I didn't want any of my plants to die haha The sprites are really pretty!!
Very simple game, but good job getting it out on time - the sprites are nice!
I loved the flowerss!! The game loop is promising too, maybe you could add a points system and a bg, these would do a lot for the experience :)
The best part of the game is definitely the assets and animations: the flowers and their different states look very pleasing. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the gameplay. As far as I understood, all you really do is click on the soil to make it wet. I would consider rethinking the whole concept from the ground up, while keeping these strong animations as the foundation.
Yeahhhh I kind of ran out of time for everything else...this was my first jam so I definitely learned a LOT about time management. At the end of the day though I wanted to put something up, no matter how imperfect. I'm glad you liked the assets! I'll definitely do my best to pair good assets with good gameplay next time.
