Very cool! I like the way the cards move when you deal them. The game looks great. I think some indication of where you are supposed to put the next card would help a lot. Great job!

Super clean game that looks, sounds and feels almost finished. UI is solid, music feets perfectly, art looks great.
Of course one core mechanic is missing but I'm looking forward to updates of this game, I can see the fun in cheating to make the house win!
Also, like someone already said below :
- maybe automating the dealing (or adding cheating there too?) could be considered.
- Sometimes when drag-and-dropping a card it misses the spot on the table.
Honestly, amazing job !
Thank you so much for your support on the visuals, It's great to hear that the community is engaging with artwork so well. I believe early on in my design I mentioned having the first card of everyone's hand to be automatic. We're hoping to get this working in the "after vote" game patch. I hope we can count on your return, stay frosty!
Looks great and it is very well made and polished. I like the transitions a lot, especially the first time you enter the table scene. The mechanics felts good and snappy, though sometimes the "hitboxes" for where to place a card were off (especially when the dealer places their 3rd card). I like the idea for the core mechanic, I'd definitely be interested to see it implemented.
Here's some other feedback if you make a full game:
- The mouse cursor follows the real mouse a little slowly. I'd like the options to make it faster, or just have the base value higher, as it feels unresponsive
- The draw pile feels a bit odd, especially when waiting for it to refill. Could it just be a stack where you always take the top card, and not redraw? Not sure it this would have tied into the cheating, like be able to peak ahead/reorder
- Could some of the dealers actions be automated? Dealing the 12 cards out is fun enough, but if the game had other actions (like cheating), this seems like something that could be done automatically and let the player focus on other things.
Good work!
I get that you didn’t have enough time to implement the cheating mechanics, and honestly, with that in place it could’ve been a strong contender for one of the top games in the jam. As it is right now, the core feels solid, and the sound and visual design are well done. That said, the game does feel a bit empty without the cheat logic so it couldn't keep me engaged for long.
Thanks for the support on the visual design, were very happy that everyone is engaging well with my art work! I'm looking forward to seeing that gap bridged in our upcoming update with that being said I hope we can regain your interest and end up giving it another shot! Regardless thank you again for your support.
I am trying to figure out how to review and rate this one... It's a tough one for me to know how to rate because I could not figure out the controls or how to cheat to make the dealer win. Here's where I am at tho based on my experience!
This game is gorgeous. The mechanics, the pixel art, the animation, the way the cards move as you flip them, you did an incredible job making the most simple details shine in a way that helps the game, while not overdoing it, relying on white space (green space I guess) to give the details space to breathe. Well done, excellent work!
The music is great for this, I think you could've found some other tracks that fit a little better, but it did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the game. I think also adding some of the record distortion sound effects in there, something to make it feel like it was played on a record player could have added to the game. This does not take away from the gameplay, I just think you could push that more if you wanted to!
The idea to this is so good! I love the concept of playing as a dealer at Casino, that is such a great idea! I had a really hard time figuring out the controls. I really don't understand how to cheat and how to make the game work, but I love the concept to it. Keep fleshing it out, please let me know when the next version is out, I would love to try it again when it moves forward! Or, let me know what I was doing wrong in the game so I can try it again and figure out how to play properly haha overall, I was blown away by what you created based off of my experience, even tho I couldn't get the game to fully work. Incredible job guys!
Thank you for the detailed review! We put a lot of love, but unfortunately it ended up unfinished and a bit buggy and rough. The cheat mechanics were supposed to be added, but we ran out of time, we’ll update it as soon as the voting ends :)
Currently, it’s just normal blackjack where you play from the dealer’s perspective.
Also really glad you liked the visuals and overall feel, we put a lot of effort into that so it means a lot
And yeah the confusion makes sense, we didn’t get enough time to properly guide the player and add the cheat mechanics, so it ended up a bit unclear. We’ll improve that and make everything more understandable in the next version. Currently, we’ve added a simple guide in the description on how to play
Would love if you try it again later! We’ll let you know when we update it. 🙂
Thanks again for trying it out!
I like the art and music and the idea of playing as the blackjack dealer is really cool
what a lovely experience i just had, music from the 90s and playing the game from the house perspective was really funny and creative, that was really really fun and i enjoyed it a ton keep up the great work, there was nothing to dislike about the game tbh everything is well done!
It's an absolutely beautiful looking game.
The vibes, the sounds, everything.
The game is gorgeous. I like the overall 1920s casino vibe. Also, I can't recall if I ever played as a blackjack dealer before. The animations are snappy and very satisfying. It kept me playing. The only bug I encountered was that when I tried dealing the first card to the second player, it wouldn't let me, so I switched to the next one, and the game let me. On the second round, I dealt a card to that second player, and the game let me. He even stayed and did not hit. End up with just a ten. I do not know if that is something you can do with blackjack, but the game would not let me deal that first card; this only happened once. All in all, a neat and beautiful package. Keep doing the good work.
Seriously gorgeous to look at, and the aesthetics are veyr pleasing.
The game's art style is gorgeous and the concept is intriguing. The game is really hard to get the hang of during the first game, and I didn't really understand how to turn the odds in my favor. Cool game anyway!
