The writing was really fun and interesting, to the point where the bullet-hell sections felt a lot more like a chore I had to endure to get to the good part. I think this game might be stronger without them.

Simple and fun game! I liked that you added so much charm to the game and personality with the characters! Good job! :)

The game was really fun, I loved it! It has strong potential to grow into a full release, and I will be looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Really cool! The references were awesome and the minigame was a great challenge. You could play with adjusting the delay on which the faces spawn instead of spawning all at the same time, to add some variety. Still, great job!

I’m so glad you enjoyed my game! Thanks for the suggestion; I’m also planning to add some other mini-games between the dialogue to spice up the gameplay.

I liked the dialog system! Art is great as well. My only complaint is that the bullet hell portion gets a bit hard, and I didn't like being forced to restart the entire game when I died. It might be better to refill health each round and only send the player back to the start of the bullet hell section. Other than that, I had fun.

Great work!

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed my game! Thanks for the advice; I'll definitely think about the balance and the game restarting after a defeat – after the jam

great job! it feels like undertale but with the cursor hahah

Thank you for your kind words; it’s lovely to hear that my project is being compared to such a great game!

Was quick to judge upon discovering the gameplay but was then left amazed by all the little characters (Clippy I've missed you!) and a simple yet great punitive choice system. So good.

Thank you for your review! Yes, my game turned out to be deeper than it seemed)))

Game was so fun. I'm love it! The game has more potential to be a full game, I'll be waiting for it.

Developer

Thank you, that’s lovely to hear. I’ll definitely keep working on this game!

fun game reminds me of under tale, great job the art is great too

Developer

Comparing my project to a game as brilliant as Undertale really warms my heart. Thank you for your feedback!

Nice bullet hell game, although it lacked some variance after a while. I liked that there was characters and a story, but I was confused as to which icons to click.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback; I’ll definitely add more mini-games between the dialogue sections! As for choosing options during dialogue—that was the intention; I wanted the player to think carefully about how to respond, but I agree that I didn’t quite manage to convey that through the gameplay.

I love the theming!  I would definitely want to play an updated version of this.   I saw it already in the comments, but I wasn't completely sure what the icons did or what impact they would have beyond conversing.  I do like the idea of talking your way through, though!  It was cool to see the responses. I feel like it's a lot of space to hold the three buttons, so maybe another visual element that says "choose wisely" or something above the buttons.

Developer

Hi, it’s great to see such detailed feedback. I’ll try to answer your questions now. At the moment, the only consequence of your answers is either the player losing HP (if the answer is wrong), or moving on if the answer is correct. Regarding the large space for the buttons — I’d advise you to play a bit longer and you’ll see that new items and new dialogue options will become available. But I agree, it isn’t made very clear😅

I’ll definitely finish this game and fix all the mistakes!

The "bullet hell" part is simple but works nicely, the icons however... I don't understand? ^^'

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! The icons represent options in conversations with characters; you need to choose the right item to avoid taking damage and move on. You can figure out which item is the right one from the dialogue with the characters.

After the jam, I’ll work on the gameplay a bit more to make it clearer.

This was a neat little game. The gameplay was fun, I loved the art style and the dialogue was cool. I felt bad for poor clippy as I was manipulating the hell outta him.

My one gripe is that it's not properly telegraphed what the things on the right were. I first thought they were levels I was choosing, then I realised those were "items" that I used to hack my way into the system. A label or two would've been nice. I also didn't get that the dialogue my guy was saying was related to that.

Anyways, overall great game! Perhaps you could build on it with more varied minigames? Forgive me if there are and I missed it cuz I died after the wall.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback; I’ll take your suggestions on board and try to make the in-game items a bit more ‘intuitive’. I’m also thinking about adding more variety to the mini-games once the game jam is over, adding new sprites and introducing some new ‘desktop wallpapers’.

The game gets intense the less health you have, kinda hard as the health doesn't recover even a little after each battle

Congrats on the submission!

Developer

Yes, after the jam, I plan to work more on the game’s balance and add items that restore health.

Thanks for playing my game!

It was a bit hard to figure out what the objective was initially, but a fun game!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback; I’ll definitely take it into account when I’m finishing the game
