Ah damn well you don't gotta make it just for the game jam maybe get someone to help you out and then try to get em to work at a diffrent time? At the very least if you get a working prototype your buddies can enjoy it
It's fine. You'll get it next time. Game jams are supposed to be difficult and push a developer to their limits. I considered giving up multiple times to go on to other, more exciting and less time consuming projects. I can't wait to see what else you end up making in the future.
