Art, sfx and the overall polish of the game are top notch. I had a great time playing. The isometric controls are a bit unintuitive at first, but you get used to them after a while.

Art is great. Level design is well done. If you add music it would totally complete. Controls are fine for me. After a bit of time you get used to it. Also that the dash depends where you are looking at surely makes it more strategic. Great game. Good job! :)

All it needs is a little background music, some key remapping, and a few instructions to make it a perfect game! GG

Nice puzzle game, and great interpretation of the theme: science fiction meets Old MacDonald. The intro text was tops. It was a little difficult to figure out what the bad guys did. I liked the strategy play-style, and the feeling of herding cows with a UFO. Having the spaceship far off the ground made it a little tricky to line up with the cows and dash on over. Even though the art style was simple, it fit the game. The cow-face abduct animation was nice.  I liked that you gave a few different sound effects for the same action, especially since this is a game where you spam the controls to get across the map quickly (at least, I did). Having some music might be nice, but silence is okay for a thinking game. Better than an annoying track.

For some reason, on certain levels, I would either run out of milk or win with a lot of milk left over. I tried to use tornadoes to save on fuel (i.e., M.I.L.K.). The bullets seemed relatively easy to dodge (same goes for cows, unfortunately). I found myself trying to line up with a cow from a distance of at least two blocks away to prepare my dashing direction. I found it helpful to hone in on him from a distance, like a rook's line of control, and if he steps into my path, I can dash. Otherwise, he's in a smaller box. The hardest part was trying to get to an opposite end of a map after abducting a cow.

Surprisingly the isometric controls didn't bother me at all; I adjusted immediately and they felt smooth. However being unable to adjust the direction before dashing frustrated me. It was a little annoying to me spending several turns shuffling around waiting for the cow to be in the UFO's line of movement even though the cow was standing right next to me.  I did find a bug where if you press boost and the arrow at the same time, you do a normal move but waste 3 units of M.I.L.K.. The game's design was cute and well-put together.  Good game!

I had fun playing your game! The controls with the iso perspective took me some time to get used to. But once I did, I had a great time.

Great concept, great graphics, great mechanics. I like the tornadoes pushing stuff away, even the cows, it’s kind of funny.

I managed to complete every level.

Great submission, good job!

Really fun game! I love the isometric style. I would have loved some music to accompany the awesome SFX! Once I got a hang of the controls I found the gameplay loop to be really satisfying. Great work, and this is an awesome entry!

really like the visuals, the game is really fun, but really needs some music

You went for the UFO too ! 🤝I really like the visuals its very polished, congrats on your entry !

I really liked the artstyle and the concept of the game! My main issues were that the levels were a bit too big (lots of presses needed) and that it felt like I could mostly just ignore the hazards and go straight for the cows in most levels.

VERY cool, I really liked this. The graphics and polish on this are amazing, it played really well, and I felt like there was a lot more to it than I got to explore in one playthrough (by virtue of having avoided some obstacles.)

The levels and threats all look amazing and feel like great contributions to the overall challenge and liveliness of the game. I didn't continue playing after my first game over, but encountered no issues at all. Would have loved to have some music in it to really complete the experience, and my brain got z and x mixed up often enough to make an accidental dash a bit frustrating, but that's really on me!

Nice concept and looks adorable!

Awesome presetation, seriously. Controls and gameplay were really good. Really creative hazards also. Only suggestion is for the cow movement, it felt pretty random, maybe make it move in the direction it is facing so we can plan ahead. Still, one of the most fun games i've played in this jam!

Really great entry! Graphics are really solid and in line with each other, and don't even get me started on the theme idea. It's so far from most of the other entries!

A couple things worth noting:

  • The button press sound is a tad high pitched
  • Typically qwertz keyboard confusion with the tutorial saying z (no issue, it's on y for me)
  • Took me a while to understand I can skip the loading screen text being written. Maybe add a little space bar hovering up and down.

I love the graphics, they have a nice aesthetic, and the sprites seem very polished! I also like the gameplay. Every level includes a new mechanic to learn (and how to exploit it to your advantage).

Congrats on the entry! :D
