Hey y'all!
I just wanted to say that I've been having a blast checking out everyone's tunes! I've even have been going through them with my students at the school I teach at to talk about all the different ways people interpreted the theme. They also love all the songs!
But I just wanted to say, it warms my heart to see all us music-makers coming together to show our love of the craft of music composition. I, like a lot of other folks, have felt trepidation of from the arrival of such platforms such as Suno as well as all the layoffs that are happening in the video game industry right now, but the amount of positivity and passion that I am hearing out of these songs has really lifted my spirits! So thank you to each and every one of you!
I will also say, even if you are just starting out on your musical journey here, I have greatly enjoyed all the "works-in-progress". I literally used the last few days to listen to every single track all the way through because I think everyone deserves fair evaluation and to be heard. I fear with AI now, people will be less inclined to take the time to pour in the blood, sweat, and tears to become a great artist, but I hear people here putting in their first real effort in front of the ears of some many strangers. Congrats to all of you! If you ever want some feedback / advice on your tunes, I am more than glad to offer it!
And to all the veteran music makers here, I have been learning SO MUCH from you all, whether that be from just listening to new sounds or interacting with y'all in the comments. Events like these always have such an amazing synergy that motivates me to continue to create! I hope some of us can keep in touch and continue to inspire each other!
Anyway, I just have been thinking about all of this the last few days (and actually more like months lol), and I love being a part of these wonderful game dev communities. I think this is the essence of what Brainless wants for everyone (at least from what I gathered from the Brainless YT Channel), and I'm super glad that Brainless made this jam!
