How did you interpret the theme?
For Glitch Garden Studios, this wasn't just about finishing a game—it was about finishing an "Engineered Mechanical Barrier."

The Struggle of Scope: Most projects fail because they get too big. My interpretation of the theme was to strip away everything unnecessary (mercy mechanics, tutorials, easy levels) and focus entirely on the core mechanical truth: Can the player flip gravity and survive?

The "0% Completion" Irony: There’s a fun irony in "finishing" a project that is so difficult that (so far) nobody can actually "finish" playing it. The project is complete, but the challenge for the player is just beginning.

Technical Finality: By moving away from "difficult" engines like Unity and focusing on a snappy, non-Unity optimized build, I was able to reach the finish line with a game that feels exactly how I intended: punishingly responsive.

While the game itself is fine, it isn't connected to the theme and the level design doesn't seem intentional, it just seems like random enemy boxes and barriers. Adding to that, sometimes the boxes don't kill the player and just push them around. Outside of those things the game is fun and all, not too many bugs, but really felt like it needs to be polished and connected to the jam in the first place

it's a good game. but it doesn't really fit the theme.
