How did you implement the Theme?
Well you have to Micro Manage your towers, reloading them constantly when they run out of ammo- upgrading them as the rounds go so they're not old. But also strategizing placement of the Rocket Turret and the Basic Turret.
How did you add the Special Object?
Coins are given by killing the zombies (The Cylinders are supposed to zombies- I just didn't have time to make / incorporate an actual asset.)
What tools and 3rd party assets did you use?
Unity, Blender- music from pixabay.com, my friend Brian made my main menu. <3
How did you use generative AI?
Helping with drawing the map really, just gave me an idea and I made something based off of it. Also the cover picture is AI, I did NOT have time to make one and it was a last second realization I needed a cover photo.

The colors in the menu hurt me. I can recommend using ready-made color palettes to make it look nice.
I gotta figure out where to find those... And or how to implement them.
For example, you type "color palettes" into the search bar, then look at the site you like the most. You choose a palette that appeals to you and use colors only from it.
The game fundamentals here are really nice, the game is simple but I could see how the programming for the systems in place could take some time to create. I also like the idea of reloading in a tower defense as I never seen it til now, and it adds to the micromanagement theme nicely. I'd like to point out that using any AI art will likely be a deterrent for some people, and using premade assets or even poorly drawn handmade assets (like ms paint or something) could be better favored imo. Another suggestion I think would be beneficial is a restart button so the player doesn't need to refresh their screen in order to try again. Overall I can see how the game can expand, such as auto-reloaders maybe or larger maps and such. Good job for a first game jam and happy (late) birthday :)
Noted! Yeah, I wanted to see where I was at with my scripting / modeling- stuff like that. My friend made my game menu, l- and the turrent model I used I originally DESIGNED- and then I had my buddy from school touch up on it a little bit. (same person) he's much better at ART in specific. I'm better at coding. He just didn't want any part of this game jam/ be on my team cause he has a whole portfolio and stuff and just... didn't wanna be involved. Which kinda hurt my feelings cause it's like what am I not good enough? but I get it too cause he's actually involved in the professional side of things unlike myself who does this for fun. We're both still learning! So thanks for the words! Also. I need to find out how to make stuff in MS Paint and use that...
Ahh don't think anything like that, keep your head up! I'm sure that wasn't what they intended to convey. I'm programming oriented too and have a bit of trouble with assets as well. I found that pre-made assets help out and if anything, art seems like a fun skill to try and build up over time. Btw if you're looking to make 2d assets I'd suggest trying out Canva, it's usable through web and I found the interface to be pretty straight forward to learn (the controls are similar to how you'd make something in powerpoint n stuff).
It is a tower defense, everything is there, an issue I found was it could have benefited from a pause button, or at least a slower speed so that I would be able to not lose as easily, could also benefit from a game over screen
Yessss. I agree 100%- this is something I wanted to get too.. A slow down button or something along that line. But most importantly a pause button. But the coding took so much time to try and get correct. (Still new here!) as well as all the other stuff I did, By the time submission day came I was like. Damn, I am like 40% complete in my scope... Definitely learned a lot this game jam!
For a first game you did amazing, I haven't dared touch 3d and I've been doing this seriously for nearly a year so really good on you. And I mean learning is what jams are for! Most of my learning has come from jams so be proud of getting smth out there cause you can keep building upon these skills
Couldn't run this one
Oh no! What happened???
I've always been into tower defense games, this is a simple one but all the core mechanics work, so good job :) first thing I would add is some sort of "game over" screen, I didn't realize I had lost for a second :D
LOL yeah, I ran short on time and a lot of the stuff that I wanted to add- I wasn't able to unfortunately. But hey, I made the type of game I've wanted to make for a while.

Well, yeah... Still needs a lot more work but with time between being in the military, sick and it being my birthday weekend... This is what I got for my first game jam!
