Artwork is great and music is nicely fitting. I am not overly fan of the time-running thing. Especially at first it felt a bit overwhelming. Also I wish I could choose which thieves I send on which missions.
I think I might have found a bug: if a new thief is better than one I have already recruited and I send away the recruited one, I can not hire the other one even though I now have a free space.
Thanks for your feedback! :D Yes, that is a bug, and choosing hirelings, as well as being able to level them up and understanding how their stats impact the job was definitely the intention. I've got a post-jam update ready with those things and fixes, unfortunately I ran out of time to implement them on the last day.
Very intuitive to play and very enjoyable. The artwork is phenomenal. Gritty but cartoony, detailed but not overwhelming. I'd love to see more of this style!
Great entry. You can tell a lot of work went into each part of the game. The difficulty really ramps up a bit but not so much where its overwhelming so its a in a great spot imo.
The art. The music. The vibe. Everything goes so well together. I was really just happy clicking and the higher speed was for me perfect. :) This definitely has potential. Managing a crew can be quite fun.
Great work!
This has to be my favorite entry so far! I really like the concept and hope you continue expanding on it!
The game is really polished, I spent a lot of time on it (maybe too much).
We need a full version!
Thanks for the update!
impressive! nicely streamlined gameplay & amazing artwork!
Really great entry! I loved the concept a lot, and could really see this idea expanded! It would be great to be able to spend the money on further upgrades. I also noticed that when my Notoriety maxed out it still let me continue playing, not sure if that was intentional or a bug! Overall really great game, I had a lot of fun.
Thanks so much, I'm really great you enjoyed it! Because it was for browser playing, I decided not to put a hard end on it since that just kind of makes the game freeze on the page. So glad you made it all the way through!
Great artwork and presentation overall. Pacing could potentially use a bit of tweaking, I found myself just clicking on things to try and keep up with the timers and not really strategising around next steps which I think could be a real strength for this game if you can get the balance right. But all in all this was a fantastic entry, great work!
Thanks so much! Yes, I agree, I had little time to test it and it's always hard to figure out the pacing as the developer, when you don't care to take it as slow and carefully as a player would. It's been really great to hear that many people would actually prefer to take it slower and spend more time with it, and there's enough going on to not have to do all that much all the time.
Thanks for playing!
Incredible presentation, really immersive! Managed to finished it on first try! The loop felt great and I'm sure you can expand it with more cool ideas, really would like more events different then just heist like the one that lowers your notoriety meter for example (one for training you hires to level up, maybe a cop that you need to bribe him with items or money kind like the shark or else notoriety increases). Really great foundation, superb art and sound, great fun. I liked it a lot!
A cop that you can bribe was an early idea we had and is currently in the works for the post-jam-update :D Glad to hear that idea feels coherent enough to be wanted and obvious. I'm also working on hireling level ups and will definitely see if I can come up with different challenges and events from there!
