Well, this was actually a bug in the third level, but for health reasons I decided to go to sleep after barely sleeping in the last few hours, and I have school tomorrow. So, according to the new official "lore," the boss is immortal and cannot be killed. However, I might fix it when I get home from school, and then the lore will return to normal.
