Aside from gravity not working, which I see you mentioned, I can't seem to play the game -- I get stuck on the 'snagged a sea star' when trying to fish and nothing else happens? tried on multiple days and bits of sea but it just loops through the dialogue on reel / catch. I can also spam press 'continue to daytime/nighttime' and nothing seems to change.

I played in fullscreen in webmode and clicking what I assume is the settings/inventory button doesn't work.

BTW vertical slice (as I know the definition) is a fully polished small section showing interlocking systems.

Thank you SO much for this feedback, genuinely! I am super new to game development and definitely don't know all the ends and outs yet and was not aware of that being the proper definition of a vertical slice. I'll edit the project page when I get an opportunity to accurately reflect the state of the prototype. My intent was to show pieces of all main systems, which I think I've done, but I absolutely agree, this is not fully polished, and my systems are not interlocked yet. While that had been my intent for the jam, I did not get there.

The "reel-in" button, as currently intended, should switch randomly between 3 text variants, but I noticed in testing sometimes the same one will come up multiple times in a row, so I'll have to look into that.

The day number counter in the top left should be going up by 1 on each new daytime, but otherwise, you're correct nothing currently updates on new days.

Do you mean the Notebook icon on the top right? (There isn't currently an inventory.) If so, I plan to make it clickable in a future update, with a simple hover animation. For this version, the Notebook can be toggled opened and closed with B or Tab. But it doesn't show much yet.

I really apologize for the frustrating experience. Thank you again for taking the time to give me some feedback! I promise to take it into account moving forward.

Hey, I'm having some trouble trying to open the game. If you're able to reupload the game file as an HTLM that can be played in browser that would be great!

Developer

Oh no, I wasn't aware it was having issues. Let me see if I can get that fixed and reuploaded ASAP. Thank you so much for letting me know!

Hey, as far as I can tell, I've got it working now! There are now web, Windows, and Linux versions, all tested working by at least one person. So sorry about the delay, thank you so much again for letting me know! :)
