This game was a little confusing at first, but once I got the hang of things, it was pretty fun. It was a very chill game, but I had to stop because my laptop physically could not continue.

I had a great time with this game! The variety in summons is great and the different systems to acquire them are interesting. I would LOVE to play a more polished version with some more attention to balance. I definitely felt like it got to a point where I was just spamming 20+ summons each day and didnt have to worry about the composition or anything, I just had more numbers and won. Great work!

Took a little bit to figure it out, but was really cool and creative once I got going.

couldnt stop playing this one once I got rolling. Impressed with how much variety there is in the different characters, made for a really fun experience throwing out boxes. the blood and gold payment is a really nice touch as well. was a little confused about the trees at the beginning, I think maybe if I could have harvested from farther away I would have known how to do it sooner, just wasnt standing in the right spot. but once I figured that out we were cruising.

Glad the variety of summons is a highlight :)  I wish we added more UI to show the status effects, buffs, summon "quality". There's a lot there under the hood, @Uvecrep made soooooo much mechanical depth here. And glad you enjoyed throwing the boxes! That's something I'm watching for in comments.

Yeah, the teaching of the tree mechanics are a pain point. Our band aid was to try to be really explicit about it plaintext (tutorial and bestiary for the forest lootbox). But It definitely could have done without that if I had some time to put into the tree UI, mechanics. The harvest distance is a good observations...

Thanks for playing!

I'M NOT A BABY

It's fun, definitely lost on round one, so feeling like maybe I am?

Solid game, would have loved if I could have bonked the enemies in the head with my thrown loot box, but was very satisfying watching a pig touch them alive.

Great entry, and will be back to play more!

We had some similar feedback with early losses. Getting past that early curve makes the game easier (folks have gotten to day 10, but usually that requires enough guys that the game starts to lag a fair bit).

The "thrown lootboxes bonk" is a good one haha, the throwables system had a lot more potential for planned items and effects, but ended up not being my focus. I'm glad the UI for throwing felt good enough, that was a pain point early on.

Glad you liked the combat and status effects, @Uvecrep did a great job making a ridiculous variety of units.

I thought the game was super fun, I especially love anything with gambling mechanics! I was a little confused at the start about the trees and planting them but I got the hang of it. Great work! I think the only area I saw for improvement was the video pitch, it was a little slow paced for a short, other than that, congrats!

Developer

Very fair, we had a similar moment near the end of dev with the tree planting haha. The plaintext tutorial was our band aid on that problem, but glad you got the hang of it!

Good to know you found the video slow paced - our first draft was actually slower haha. It was @Uvecrep's first time with Davinci, we managed to inject some of the shortform-y meme energy at least.
